The speed you rank up isn't dependant on how much you win or how much honor you get, necessarily. It's how much you get in comparison to everyone else on your faction on your server. You're also limited because you only get so many rank points per week depending on where you fall in the overall honor amounts of everyone during that week, so even if you got #1 honor every week, it would still take several months to get to rank 14.
@Bigdog Billdog He had a set premade with all the correct professions. They probably spent 100k+ for the team. I don't consider that legit compared to the people who did it in the past without all of that.
@Ice Hockey is Pretty Pretty Good Yeah back in the day they just qued up and hoped for the best, no premades because why would you team up with other good players.

For me, the best feeling that came out of that insanely long, tiresome, boring grind was the day my premade beat theirs. It only happened once, maybe twice, but it felt absolutely incredible. It was like walking up an extremely steep slope and finally managing to walk over that massive hill despite your ankles trying to completely buckle under the pressure. That moment we won felt better than the day I hit rank 14 and asked a friend to loan me a couple hundred gold to buy my weapons, as I was completely tapped from the grind. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't make some incredible memories along the way. Looks like you did too.
Well it is pretty easy to farm random players with your full premade... This is one of the downsides of WoW-pvp. There is no options for people to queue in pvp as a "single player". And in Classic it is probably was the worst because to get those ranks people actually had to farm kills as much and as efficient as possible. I am glad that since the next expansion (Burning Crusade) Blizzard got rid of this stupid system and introduced arenas...

You can be playing against randoms and really enjoying the game (win or loss), then suddenly a premade joins in and the next dozen games are all terrible loss after loss after loss... and I don't mind losing, but losing to a premade is extremely unfair an annoying. Once I ran into too many of them, I just didn't bother with PVP anymore and have since quit playing the game, at least until the next expansion anyhow.
what competitive isn't pvp itself in terms of skill but in terms of ranking. People are willing to farm honor insane amount of honor which makes it competitive

Win rate isn't everything if ranking is your only goal. Some premade play only for honor per hour and will yield long and inefficient games against other good premades.
You are a literal god. I wish I could have the time/life to dedicate to the game. Theres always something I've loved about WoW, where everything you work hard for actually has meaning. Never think the grind wasnt worth it, it's something you will remember til the day you die, and you have achieved something only a very small percentage has. Congrats king.

that is prob about right for every solid premade as you get chumps most of the time.

You are a literal god. I wish I could have the time/life to dedicate to the game. Theres always something I've loved about WoW, where everything you work hard for actually has meaning. Never think the grind wasnt worth it, it's something you will remember til the day you die, and you have achieved something only a very small percentage has. Congrats king.
