Are you certain you start from the forward cylinder and not the back? I have seen both and clearly I am confused as this will make a considerable difference in which cylinder is actually misfiring.... I have been getting g codes for five and six and no amount of diagnosing on the last two cylinders (coils and plugs) has helped...just dawned on me that maybe the reverse of what you state is accurate....tried again on what you call 1 and 2....problem solved???

Need help, I have a 2013 BMWiX that misfire on multiple cylinders. I’ve replaced all the coil and spark plugged already but the problem still exists. What I noticed is that it only does it on this condition. Cold engine startup, after about 30 minutes of driving on the highway at constant speed between 60-80 miles. That is when the misfire happens. After I pull over and reset with my scanner all is well after that. Please help!

Hi I know you did this fix two years ago. I am having the same on my E87 1 series and it sounds like a tractor! What I did was replace all spark plugs, swapped the ignition coils and replaced fuel injector. The code is p0302 and code reader said cylinder 2 misfire. Having done all these the misfire is still there in cylinder 2. Any thing else to try?

Is it better to change all the coils when you get that code?

Phoenix Construction Specialists it is enough only to exchange the defective ones.

Change all ignition coils with spark plugs, while you at it change the valve cover gasket as well.. for me only on parts is about $1,270$ plus $250 for labor
Parts alone are expensive, cheap to work on it if you have free time or know a good mechanic
