'If White People Deserve The Job, They Have Right To Be There' - BBC Diversity SLAMMED

  • BBC presenter Nihal Arthanayake has said an overwhelmingly 'white' working environment is affecting his mental health.
Political commentator Chloe Dobbs: "If white people deserve that job, they have the right to be there."
The BBC has been at the forefront of efforts to promote diversity and inclusivity in recent years. However, a recent controversy has raised questions about whether the broadcaster's push for diversity has gone too far.
One commentator has criticized the BBC for not being woke enough and lacking diversity, sparking a heated debate about the balance between meritocracy and positive discrimination.
Critics argue that the BBC's focus on diversity has led to an unintended consequence - a form of new racism. By actively excluding white individuals from certain roles in favor of diversity quotas, the organization perpetuates discrimination based on race. Previously marginalized groups, such as black people or ethnic minorities, are now benefiting from positive discrimination while white individuals from working-class backgrounds may face increased disadvantages.

I wonder if any of his white work colleagues have confronted him about this? If I was in their position I would - because I'd need to know if he sees me as part of his mental health problem. Then it'd be off to HR. What a horrible man.

I’ve just found out that my Grandson is being picked on in school. He’s just gone up to secondary school and is a quiet lad, easily led and vulnerable. What he has said to his mum recently is the boy who sits next to him keeps pushing things of the table and making him pick them up, what is got me so f-ing angry is the black kid has said to him “it’s your turn to be a slave”. This is what they are doing to our kids. My own son took his own life a few years ago and I have spoken to many families who have also lost children to suicide since, and in every case it’s NOT because of home life, it’s been because of others, and how they have been made to feel worthless. This racists fool at the BBC needs holding to account as do all the other race batting morons who discriminate against any f-ing colour do. They are vile individuals who take no responsibility for their actions because we are ruled by cowards and an institution hell bent on power and staying at the top.

I have an Asian girl and they wouldn't let me take her to my sister's wedding. I think this all came from the groom's side...maybe because she was prettier than anyone there. When the vicar said, "does anyone object?" I was scratching my head and she thought I put my hand up. She was like "What's your reason?" I replied because he's a c**t.. It got a few laughs but I don't think my family like me anymore. I love all races equal....thats the way it should be.

My wife was recruiting in the nhs just last month and decided who to interview based on the cvs deciding by who has the relevant skills. By the end of the day she was informed that she had to interview one of the rejected candidates as they were disabled. When she told her boss that she had no idea that the person was disabled but that they still didn’t have the required skill set she was told that she would still need to interview them. This isn’t for a back room admin job it’s for someone who could be in an operating theatre. It’s just dangerous to hire people for such jobs because they tick a diversity box.
People should not be excluded from a job because of a disability, their race, sex etc but the decision to hire someone should only be made on merit.

    • @davidlangstaff3745
      @davidlangstaff3745 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I agree that organisations should recognise disabilities and allow for that when recruiting for jobs. But it is obvious that the person must be able to do the task - disabled or not. Disabilities would be the only thing I would do this for though.
Race. Religion. Sex. Skin colour. Sexual orientation - none of these are disabilities and should not be taken into account when hiring people. It should purely be on merit. Excluding people for any of these factors (including disability) is an offence and should be prosecuted, but doing this tick in a box exorcise is pointless.

100% with you there mate. That’s what I was trying to say.
Disabilities should be took into account because it’s obvious people with either physical or mental disabilities have a huge disadvantage when they are competing against people with no disabilities, but they must be able to do the job.
Race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, nationality etc aren’t disabilities and shouldn’t be taken into account. Positive discrimination is still discrimination.
The guy at the BBC is obviously racist. It’s not a crime to be white but he wants people to be replaced based on the colour of their skin. I thought we’d moved pat all that crap. It shouldn’t matter.

Similar goings on in Australian mining industry. If you are female and cannot wire a plug you could be appointed to a senior management position in preference to a male who is exceptionally well qualified and competent just to tick another box. The only proven disadvantage to this system is that people frequently pay with their lives for the uninformed decisions that these people frequently make. I suppose if the top bosses were held to account and imprisoned for their companies mismanagement they would put the correct body in the correct position then everyone would be happy except for the wokearaty.

Interesting hearing you talk about kids from wealthy families who might be discriminated against. I went to a private school for 5 years until I was 12, then money became tight so I was switched to a state school. Not only was the private school providing far better education but I was on the receiving end of massive discrimination and bullying at the state school. People from (what can be perceived as) a wealthy background will often be derided or hated out of pure spite and jealousy. The only reason I went to a private school was because my dad worked extremely hard (too hard at times) and built up his own business from nothing. Success and achievement can all too often be looked down upon out of jealousy.

I bet when he drives through a predominantly white area they dont all come out and watch him,
Happened to me a few years back in Birmingham in a works van , took a wrong turn and literally by the time i got half way down the street all the men came out of their houses staring at me ,
Didn't know i could claim mental illness because they didn't look like me 🙄😂

Waiters in curry house always Indian, in my area anyway. So to have white presenters in a white country is fine, as is if they are coloured, if they best for job. Am white, it would be pointless me presenting an Asian program.

You know who censored and used slurs? An Austrian painter. You know who else used the media against his own people? An Austrian painter. You know who else introduced medical passes?

There is no word you can put in front of the word discrimination that will make it sound better. Any form of discrimination is just discrimination, and there is nothing positive about it. Meritocracy drives everyone’s standards higher and should be the only consideration when giving university placements or employment

the man concerned is clearly delusional, he has been born in this country, he is surrounded the the native population, yet he see's going to work with the natives as a problem, perhaps he feels he should have more privilege than the rest of us. (he's already been given a lot more privilege by simply working at the BBC)

Just being good at something does not mean you are going to get a good job. In the 70s when I was just in my 20s I went for a job sweeping round machines in a factory, I didn`t get it it went to a uni grad
