Welcome! I'm so glad you got some good value from it! You are on the right track. This guide will cover all the beginners info you will need to know. www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com/product-page/tower-garden-master-guide Cheers :)
I'm just starting my hydroponic journey (towers) and find this Humble Growth source extremely helpful. Thank you. Question; When you show PPM charts, what conversion scale are you using (500, 640,700) so that I can determine the corresponding EC reading?
I moved from tds to ec, because we got this multiplier 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 or something for europe, asia and america. Depending on fertilizer brand, it could cause too high salt concentration in soil and so on. EC seems universal to me.
Thank you begineer here and everyone is so vague about this information maybe they dont know it themselves. Starting a bunch of kratky tomato buckets in florida already screwed up 5 buckets but now I know. I used rain water got ph around 6 with vinegar once baking soda once and everything I used rainwater in turned stagnant and developed a crusty layer of I assume the nutrients on the top of the water. Also had a orangish brownish film that feels oily. Should bleach be added to rainwater?
Glad you found me!! I would bet that the film and oily surface is a result of the use of baking soda and vinegar as the Ph. buffer. Using Baking soda will add way to much Sodium to your water causing all sorts of weird problems. Vinegar is not as harmful, however is can lead to nutrient imbalances in your tank. I recommend using dedicated ph. up and down solutions like this one. amzn.to/40r4cNq Really avoid using any household cleaners or ph buffers, as hydroponic systems are a really delicate balance. I use these nutrients amzn.to/40HFLwN for all of my hydroponic gardens to keep things sterilized and rot free :)
@@humblegrowth Thanks for the information I thought I was being sensible using baking soda and vinegar is there any need to sterilize rain water collected from a rain barrel in florida?
Thank you have cleared up so much in the shortest amount of time
You're welcome! Glad to help 😊
Thank you!! Im new to hydrotowers and just got myself an EC pen. Great video for us beginners!

I'm so glad!! You would just convert to the 10th place. so a EC of 1000m/cm would become 1.0 ms/cm. 500 would be 0.5
