Hey Robert, RO water is actually very bad for PH meters and they will not last as long if you use pure RO water. Here is from the bluelab website: "De-ionized, RO (Reverse Osmosis), or Distilled water should NEVER be used to store or hydrate the pH probe or pen. Pure water changes the chemistry in the reference, causing the pH probe/pen to die." Just wanted you to not kill your PH pen as fast. Gary

I have used my Milwaukee T75 for years simply rinsing the electrode with every use in Ro then store dry. I test it with a bottle of aquafina as I know its 0 ppm.I use their solution from time to time to be more sure.
Hi If your tap water is 400ppm and you make a mix up to 1100ppms do you take of the start 400ppm so you have 600ppms not 1100ppms thank you for a good video. Jeff
I waisted so much money on cheap ph pins and finally i tried apera ph20 and that's were i have been ever since should i just kick out a little more for a better ec meter
You mention 400 ppm then increasing the ppm during flowering. What do you do when you want to continously have different plants at different stages? Where do you run your ppm?
That’s the point man. It’s not always the same. You use these tools to tell you what’s happening to the girls and adjust as necessary. It’s also why I’m assuming he doesn’t exactly like feeding schedules. Natures cycles last longer than 24 hours. Humans are too fast. 🤪

@mgm Gary has thought me so much about hydroponics and the more I learn, the more I realize that he’s not making millions doing this. My point is, when you find people who give so much, perhaps lay off poor audio comments. Turn ur volume up if it’s an issue

Are the ec meters that can be calibrated better than the ones that can't be

You would want to use RO water, not your tap water if the ppm is that high

Thats the trunchean PPM/EC , BL said something about a static field and I tried it without the end piece and it did give bad reading.G

I fixed this problem. Let the probe sit in vinegar
Rinse it everytime, clean every week. Vinegar cleans the calcium. You might want to use the conductivity probe care kit to clean thoroughly.
