Buy the dollar store ones, take 5 mins to drill the holes and spend 3 mins watering every other day. It'll cost you $10. Don't be lazy and waste money on these.
It really depends on if you enjoy DIY projects or not, otherwise I agree you can build an epic tower garden with very simple and inexpensive parts
Hi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on tower garden here. I am from italy and I would like to open a production that sells straight to customers. So I need to know how much can produce a tower garden with 60 holes each year? I mean averagely to prepare my business plan. Thank you
Can you shoot me a e-mail over at miner.chad@gmail.com and we can talk business a little more.

I bought a $1,300 juice plus tower garden. I had it inside.
It is disassembled in my basement right now because it was dripping all over my floors, and then it started spraying all over.
Also, the light fixtures is really heavy. It's almost a 2 person job to reassemble after you have cleaned it. If you're less than 6 feet tall, you have to hold the heavy assembly over your head and line two rods up with 2 holes. Sounds easy, except the whole assembly is sprinkled with round holes for the water to drip through. You need to find the 2 that are slightly bigger and have absolutely no markings on them.
I replaced it with 2 elevated planter boxes I made myself out of cedar planks. I use half gallon mason jars as my containers, I have an air pump on the bottom shelf, and each plant has an air stone. I also have one 36" light on each planter box. It's much prettier.
OMG I love this! How is your DIY garden going?! I will say however, you either had a defective tower garden unit or you did not put it together properly (tight enough) I have had several tower gardens and they only ever leaked when I didn't do something right. I don't think the company would be as HUGE and successful if they made products that just leak everywhere right? This was obviously a case of equipment malfunction or user error. I'm glad to see you have worked around it though. I would love to chat about buying your un used tower garden from you if you are interested?
If you would want to sell your "spraying, dripping" tower garden I would Glady take it off your hands? I'm sure you would make me a good deal considering it leaks everywhere?
So I started with small countetop gardens - ok for occasional herbs. Small resevoir towers are def novelty, I agree. But DIY was more tooling and messing around than I wanted. I got tower gardens with lights and cages bc tbey are automated and large enough to provide constant supply of food and zero guessing w nutrients. They have payment plans and I found it very affordable. Paid off in one year and zero messing around. I appreciate the video but DIY wasn't right for me.

Tower guardens are relatively expensive because quality parts are expensive. For me to construct a good quality 21 cell tower cost me with high pressure pump, Audino contoller, spray nozzles cost about $150.00 in materials, then we have labor cost for constructing, plumbing and wiring.

Hey can you keep the tower garden videos coming especially in winter because I have the Flex I love it but seeing someone else’s success is so helpful
Absolutely!
I am looking into the flex tower garden. How do you like it? easy? everything grows as you want? thank you
Thank you so much for your way in talking to me today about Hydroponic garden.
Any time!

Invest 200$ in a 3d printer and make your own tower. Free designs can be found on many websites or linked from youtube videos.
To me, this would be akin to buying a cheap tower off amazon. 3d printed objects will NEVER BE FOOD SAFE. The molecular structure leaves far too many gaps in the composite. Even if you buy "food grade" filament, the gaps allow soooo much bacteria to thrive that they will never be considered food safe. 3d printed towers are becoming super popular and I get it. But I also don't want to eat micro plastics that leach into my garden, or have bacteria thriving in my garden walls. Thank you for your input, I appreciate every angle and perspective here.
👏 well said thanks for talking about plastic. That was my last deciding factor for going with the tower garden
You had me at “plant-based produce junkie”. Yep 🙋♀️ New subscriber
Interesting but Keepon growing has been doing hydroponics for years and he does it cheap and with food grade byckets
Sounds like we have a lot in common. These are food grade as well. I've been growing hydroponically for over a decade. Thanks for the info 😊
Sir, there are websites like Agrotonomy who sells their own aeroponic tower that is super expensive and I need to buy the water irrigation system on my own as well, but on the other hand they offer the nutrient or I should say the fertilizer, what'd you recommend? I intend to buy around 20-30 towers.
wow that's a massive investment! Feel free to send me an email at miner.chad@gmail.com and I'm happy to set up a time to hop on the phone with you and talk this through/offer any advice so you can get set up for success here.
Where would I go to get 4" and 6" upvc?
Food grade BPA free plastic, developed at Epcot over 20 years, tested for nutritional value at U of Mississippi, THAT is why the TG by JP+ is $55-95/mo x 12 months. Mine havent aged at all in 12 years of growing all year round. I think the price is amazing , its about VALUE, not initial cost
Do you have more information on this please?
Hi, great to see another of your videos and as usual, very instructive. I'm looking into buying a 3d printer to make my next tower garden but i am afraid of leakage as i've experienced in my 2 first tower gardens that i will probably get rid of.
Or i might just stick to what has worked the best for me is my five tier Racking sistem.
My current experiment for the moment is adding copper antennas to my Hydroponics racks, I am not sure if it is increasing my yield or the speed of growth yet or that i'm just better at controlling the differents aspects, but i seem to think that it is working, the future will tell, for now my plants and herbs are more beautiful than they ever have been.
So, thanks again for the inspiration and knowledge, Have a great day and a great life, Regards Frank from Montreal Canada
Let us know how the copper works out.
Yes it is, i've tried before on my indoor plants(in earth) and the results were very good.@@Kitties4321
Any tower gardens you could recommend for growing cannabis?
Looking to have 4-6 plants per tower and 10-12 towers in a greenhouse.
Hellow from Greece. After I've seen lot of your amazing videos I became a professor, joke.
I've seen pics of upvc pipes, is this kind of pipes only for water transfering? Wat about the main pipe 4" or 6 " is there that dimensions in upvc?
Sorry for my english but the main thing is to understanding.
Thanks a lot
Christos
I'm glad they've helped impart some valuable wisdom to you! The biggest thing when it comes to upvc is ensuring it's food grade and will not leach BPA's into your water and in turn into your garden.
Feel free to reach out by email if you have any more questions at miner.chad@gmail.com
Hi Sir what if I made the tower out of ceramics ? what do you think about this idea ?
Wow! that would be incredible! The building material matters much less than the functionality so I'd say, go for it! My only thought would be to glaze the inside of the ceramic tower to ensure the in doesn't absorb a lot of the water. Please send pictures if you do this! humblegrowthcontact@gmail.com
ceramic pots with the holes in the sides for work perfect if they will stack and it would look very appealing to the eye. I don't know what kind of reservoir you would have maybe you could have a remote Reservoir in the center that feeds 2 to 4 ceramic Towers
"Sir, thank you for a very informative video. Could you please make a video about lighting for aeroponics from four sides and about the temperature in the room where the Tower Garden is installed? Greetings from Kazakhstan. 🇰🇿 For example, I don't have a greenhouse, but I have a free ground floor of the house or a basement where I want to grow salad greens in hybrid aeroponics."
I appreciate the info in this video , but i didnt like the tone about Chinese products.
Thank you. My tone only comes from my frustration as a consumer. I only inflate my tone as a representation of my annoyance with products that are cheaply made then shipped to other countries only to become landfill fodder. I personally try to invest my money in high quality engineered, designed and fabricated products so they will last, and cheap Chinese, mass produced, products really don't in my experience. I truly believe that it comes down to passion for your work. If you want to be doing something, you will do it better, China's infrastructure is not really setup for following ones desire and passion for work on a middleclass level. love the chat, thanks for your comment.
Thank you so much, for such an informative video ! I wish I had the ability to do it myself, but I have learned the hard way with trying to do certain things myself, and ended up wasting money ! At least your video made me make a smart decision ! I have chosen to go with Tower Garden by Juice Plus ! Hopefully I do not need to join an MLM to purchase one ! If that is the case, I will have to pay someone to make me one, NO MLMS for me !!!! I really hope that is not the case because I really like the way they make their grow towers !!! Thanks again for a great video !!! Also, the way you speak is very
calming and relaxing !
thank you for this comment! You do not need to join a MLM, If you have not purchased it already, I am offering my mastering your tower garden series for free if you use my links (I did have to join the MLM lol)

YUP! They are definitely overpriced and easy to build! Mike VanDuzee and healing hobbies have awesome video showing you how to build Kratky method and one with a pump. I've built several of them for way under $25.00 and they produced lots of edibles.

Where can I find the juice + tower garden? All sorts pop up when I put that into the browser.
Hey Emily, here is our link to the juice + tower gardens: zb75854.towergarden.com/us/en they incentivize affiliate programs to sell their tower gardens and it leads to a lot of links being thrown around online. Hope this helps!
The DIY pdf link is down and I don’t see it available on your website. Do you mind fixing the link or adding a new one in a reply?
Hey there! You should be able to access all of the guides I offer right here: www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com best of luck growing!
this was a brilliant video. packed with great information. You mentioned providing plans or helps to building your own. I am having difficulty finding those plans. can you help
I'm having to re-write the guide as I didn't realize that the u-pvc pipe requires would be so difficult for many to get. A new revised "5 gallon" guide will be out soon and it will be worth it. So sorry for the dead link
I'm looking to build my first hydroponic tower and I've got a few questions lol. I don't know what kind of root space I'll need for different kinds of produce. Is there an easy way to determine how big the tower's diameter should be? Is there a way to build the drip system you described (the one with hundreds of little holes)? And instead of using net pots, I saw someone who used pool noodles. Would pool noodles inhibit the aeroponic water distribution?

Question: Where did you get that suspended fire place?
That's a Cubic Mini Grizzly cubicminiwoodstoves.com/products/cb-1210-br-cubic-mini-wood-stove
I removed the legs as they were actually completely useless and just made it heavier when it was mounted. Plus I think it looks cooler as a free mounted wood stove.

This is completely new to me but now I’m interested!!! 😁 We have spent thousands building raised beds and they dry out daily.
We already have the materials to build one more but after that one is built ~ I’m leaning toward trying this. 😂
I am so excited for you to try a tower garden! You will wonder why you didn't know about them sooner. I did beds, both raised and rows in ground for years. My first tower garden I COMPLETELY filled, Cucumbers, tomatoes, jalapenos, snap peas, cauliflower, broccoli, cantaloupe, dill, cilantro, romaine, green beans, and Kale. it all grew super fast and tasted super good. I changed the water 3 times over 4 months and set everything else to a timer. no top watering at all and I used 90% less water to grow 20 huge plants in 1/3 the time, I was hooked. That was the start of this channel :)
Add a few ollas to your raised bed.
I am looking for your product Place lace me a message. When I post this, I am looking for more information no this. Want looking how find are how build one .
Hey Edward! Not sure how I missed your message, please feel free to reach out to me at miner.chad@gmail.com and I can try to get you started with building your own aero garden. Alternatively I have a free guide you can download on my site if you'd like: www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com

Anybody know a vendor that sells UPVC to non commercial clients?
I am trying to locate a local vendor myself. I can not seem to find one. Wondering where he is buying his 4" & 6" pipe he mentioned??
What about 3d printed ones?
I urge you to watch the video I made about 3d printed towers th-cam.com/video/raTBpkwLKUY/w-d-xo.html a little controversial but I definitely stand by it. Hope it helps!
Tower gardens are made from food safe plastics, yet still contain a prop 65 warning. How do we know that food safe plastics don't leach chemicals into the water, when exposed to chemicals used in aeroponics?
Food safe, when used as specified, i don't think any of the plastics are tested for leaching in this application, but please point me in that direction if you know of some tests.
Regarding 3d printed towers, bacterial contamination is a moot point - soil isn't sterile. Plants can't physically absorb single cell bacteria.
Ergo is there really any difference that we know of, when examining the possibility of leaching, through the lens of safety of a Tower Garden vs 3d, cheap Chinese or whatever?
I'm curious whether you can cut and come again on lettuces with the tower garden, or do the roots get too big to do that? Also, is there a mosquito issue? Do you use mosquito dunks in the water? TIA
Yes you can grow cut and grow lettuce in a tower. No problems with mosquitoes if it is a closed system.
I just bought a Nutriponics Tower and would love to get in contact with you to talk about it since you seem to know your stuff! Any chance of this?
Hey there Dan! Just now trying to get back to all my messages on this. Yes absolutely, feel free to email me at miner.chad@gmail.com and we can chat about your tower. Hopefully in the year since you posted this you have had some success with your Nutriponics Tower
you are awesome man !!!!
You are!

Excellent! Your so welcome :)
I’m planning on putting in four hydroponic beds in my garden. I’m in the researching process right now. Tower gardening or beds? I want to do my homework first.
What do you do when you start with a small plant? .. Or a seedling in the hole, Diameter there is larger
fellow okie?! I love OSU education on gardening
CU Boulder actually :)
Great video. Something to consider tho.. “BPA free” plastics use things like BPS and BPF to replace the BPA, which are equally as toxic and cancer causing as BPA. In other words, “BPA free” is really just creative marketing. We have to figure out a way to get rid of plastic altogether.
That said, until there’s an alternative to plastic, I will likely still be purchasing a tower garden when I can afford it because I want to be able to grow my own food more efficiently. Just wanted to give the info.
Thanks for a very informative video.
Thank you that was a lot of useful information.
