Alpha mentality is usually a term used to substitute trait disagreableness and low empathy. Furthermore ninjas and FBI agents don't need to tell you that they are what they are. Remember this the next time someone says they're "alpha"
With whatever terms you do or don’t want to use, there is definitely a hierarchy amongst wolf packs as well as all other animals that live or work together in cooperative groups.. This is proven science.
What is Matt talking about? It did turn out wolves were more family role driven, but our closest ancestors in nature, Chimps, 100% do have Alpha Males. As do a ton of other intelligent species. I did hear about how the Alpha Male Chimps that ruled purely through fear and physical intimidation tended to have shorter reigns, than Alpha Males who engaged in higher levels of reciprocal grooming and other social behaviors. But they are still Alpha Males who's basis of power is violence and physical domination. It's just that the Alphas who are more social have more allied male chimps on their side when the challenge comes against their rule.
