I gave up with a fly screen on the door but here’s a hack I have a 12v fan only small and it blows across the doorway , no bugs or those mosquitoes ever come in . Big advantage you don’t get caught up in the bloody mess 😃😃 glad you are moving about better too

I had the same idea Mel, ordered 2 sets from the local supplier, but only 1 came as they'd sold out. One problem I had was the end of the kitchen unit caught the screen, even after I rounded the corner. My plan was to sew 2 together for the slider end.

To be honest mine didn’t last very long but did last the summer when I took them down in the winter they was quite tattered having not been anywhere this summer I never bothered to replace them. 👍🤓👍

@@BigVanSmallWorld I will put mine up for the Summer for some places that are bad for mozzies and sand flies (think monster midges on steroids), but am going to replace the clunky plastic/magnets with some small rectangular neodymium ones sewn into the flyscreen edging.

    Hey Mel and Rebecca,
I've tryed those in our Iveco too...
Being absolutely terrified of getting bugs and wasps in our van, i've tryed everything, yes also these exact same curtains.
After one holiday wasnt so content with them and planned for a better way to keep the bugs out.
From the beginning of the new build I kept enough space for the best domestic products there are because we sell those to our customers and now I not only are able to show them in their full glory, we can even have breakfast without having uninvited guests.
But im happy to see you're both pleased with the result.
Little advise on those curtains, best let them hang as strait as possible and saw them together where they dont need to open and stick them to the walls with some strips.
After you are done with the ons you have now, you might want to consider the ones made out of that fluffy aterial, a sort of fluffy ropes hanging from above.
They are not expensive either but more robust for van-use.
Lots of love from Mascha and me.💕

Good timing you put out this vid. I just fitted the same to my van only a few weeks ago. Used the ones from Amazon and have stronger magnets. BUT the velcro supplied with the nets is far too wide. You need to grab a roll of 10mm off ebay so it fits the rubber door trim neatly and some on the bottom edge of the step. On the nets only use small 2" bits of velcro spaced out and a dab of super glue to keep them stuck. its a bugger to get them off if you fit too much velcro to the nets. Yes they work in Scotland keeps out 98% of the midges. They only problem is getting in and out of the van. The midges wait outside for you in droves then attack ;)

Those screens won't stop midges, you need proper sized midge netting. I bought some from Totally Herby based here in Scotland, but I'm having trouble working out a system for a Vivaro side door due to the top sliding door hinge. The material I bought will make proper screens for the side windows. Visit the Totally Herby midge products site and read all the info you need on how to keep the blighters out.

Won’t the four panels “stitched” together stretch across the rear doors?
