Hi David, hope all is well. I have an idea for you. A series called "Around the World". Pick a dish from a continent or a country. Make a traditional version of the dish then make your version of the dish. Take care 😊
To answer your question: boredom, relaxedly eating o a n Oreo that you just dipped into milk, and you think that you like the consistency of the cookie in milk, etc. Or maybe it's a case of someone expecting company and all they have in the house is Oreos and/or don't have time to shop or bake or prepare anything else, and don't want to just serve plain Oreos and milk. I like the creativity of it. To add a few from my childhood: marshmallow taffy (squishing a marshmallow between your fingers until it's like taffy), raw hamburger balls,(basically it's steak tartare but I wouldn't advise), white-bread flat bread(pressing or rolling slices of bread until they're flat like tortilla), condensed milk tea fingers(strips of white bread, dipped in sweetened condensed milk then coconut, then baked), peanut butter creams(peanut butter and condensed sweetened milk or evap milk and powdered sugar), etc: playing with your food---😲 I mean leisurelyeating something while considering it's properties.
Personally I think oreo sushi would be awesome for a party. Just cut thinner so it's actually around 1 cookie equivalent and Im sure people will be interested, especially kids.
I love the corn ribs, I tried it Jamaican style with some jerk seasoning, sweet from the corn & the spicy from the jerk marinade works well, sweet spicy deliciousness. Great video as usual!
The koolaid one reminds me of a candy my sister and I used to get as kids called Ooze Tubes, usually they would come in green apple or blue raspberry. My mom hated when we got it because she was so grossed out by the concept lmao
best way to cut soft rolls like the oreo sushi (and a huge help with cinnamon rolls!) - get some thread, wrap around the roll, slowly pull tight, cut it that way.
If you replace some of the corn syrup with water, you'll just have those italian ices, and if you add more water, you'll probably get something like a slush puppie pouch thing The oreo sushi really looks like a licorice candy to me lol, I'd be disappointed if I got the oreo thing instead :( The corn looks really really good, though I'd probably do corn nuggets instead, so what you did, just cut them again into smaller pieces.
corn was the foundation of many cultures food and nutrition. it is digestible and nutritious, just not the outer skin of the kernel (the inside is fully digestible). it doesn’t have the nutritional content of many other vegetables, but it makes up for it by having versatility in corn meal, corn flour, etc. think of it like potatoes.
i think the kool aid corn syrup started when ppl froze honey and it looked cool and ate it. then ppl started mixing random things in corn syrup and freezing it e.g. sodas, frosting, sports drinks.
