I'm so glad you left the "accident" in rather than editing it out. I laughed out loud when I saw that, but it was because any one of us would have done the same thing. This channel is full of the human element which is why I love watching.
Totally agree. One of the things that makes his videos so enjoyable is his personality, enthusiasm and genuine love and appreciation for the boats and boating.
When Nick is filming a boat they always put trays with breakable stuff on it everywhere! :)
I've seen so many boat reviews where there are bits of pottery and glassware standing on slippery surfaces... which would all have to be stowed before starting the engines! Those, and the endlessly pointless scatter cushions obstructing every seat and bed... where do you put them? It all makes the marketing "set dressers" look really silly ;-)

That descanter didn't seem to be well designed for anything more than 3 inch waves.

I was curious to see what will go broken and was thinking, till the moment he goes down and i saw the table. You can hear the pain in his laugh about the mistake. Scherben bringen Glück, also immer einen handbreit Wasser unter dem Kiel 😊

So, after the crash, everytime Nick open anything I found myself hoping it wouldn't come off in his hand. In America we have a very similar saying to the afore mentioned German saying. It goes "you broke it you bought it" well I guess it's not all that similar is it. Good show Nick as always.

To be fair all of those random glass pieces they put on display on the boats, has always struck as the last things you should bring with you on a boat. I get it's to make them look nice but it's not practical at all

I’m finally certified enough and I have well paid job. Now I’m gonna work like a dog, but I will get yacht like this. My dream is to go Around Adriatic Sea from Greece, to north through Croatia, north Italy, then south and finish at Palermo. One day, one day.

I really like Galeons. I have yet to see one that I don't like.
I always wonder why breakable art pieces are common on yachts and where they put them all when under way. It seems risky if not dangerous. At least for me... I'm clumsy and would do exactly what Nick did but would have most likely deeply cut myself.
Come for the boats, stay for the vocabulary lessons. I was today year's old when I learned 'Voila' is pronounced exactly the same in China, France AND Holland!

Obviously a pretty good bit of kit but at the size and config it starts to feel a lot like the smaller day boats so for the money I think I would go for a more proper yacht config and size a couple of years old. Maybe you could get a 52 from 2019. And some of the glassware seems to shatter too easily :)
I take it the 750 is including vat? hmm I hadn't noticed until now that it's a 2019. then the price seems high? is it to cover the glass you shattered? :)
2022 price from germany is 537k€ which is 450k£. So 750 for 3 year old seems a touch expensive. Inflation? :)
