I think this one might be the nicest one I've seen so far on your channel. It is ginormous, but it's well thought out. I like all the living space on the main deck and even the smaller bedrooms are really nicely laid out. My guess is that it's around $12-15million. It just looks very comfortable. Too big for me right now, but if I had the money and wanted space, this would probably be the yacht for me. It's like a legit large apartment, lol.

Agree with the hot tub idea, if the sea is cold then what better to use a tub. My only issue is the heads are all very small. Yes, you can stand in the shower but what about moving around in it, lots to do but no space. This is another reason other, more expensive brands are worth it, they usually have huge heads. Another gripe is why have 2 twin cabins ? Far better to have 3 doubles and 1 twin (in my opinion).
I've often had to wonder about some laws in the USA. For example, in Florida I am not allowed to have open alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. But it's perfectly fine in Florida if I'm at the helm of my boat and have the bar right behind me 🤣
Going back and watching this video again, (Don't judge me Ms. Victoria!! Lol/jk). I normally love Galeon and they are so innovative and especially on their yacht under 65' they pack so many features and crazy ideas into them, but this was really underwhelming. When you consider a Pearl 80, the X80, Horizon's FD87, and even Sirena 78 (not including Bering kr Numarine because it's not fair), but this yacht doesn't really match the feel of the other models, but also the innovation thay are known for are absent here. Just my opinion, amd not worth much, but it iss what it is
When I sat down with Bob and we were talking about you guys, he acknowledged that your height was something that you got the fans involved in as a form of measurement and how brilliant it was for engagement. He said you all work really hard at getting the engagement in the videos and that is why you are so successful, you two are entertaining and then the level of engagement is amazing. He spoke very high of you two.
Galeon have really upped their game over the past 3/4 years with some excellent innovations and idea's. But one thing I cannot understand with Galeon and many other top brands is why don't they install a dumb waiter into their designs. It's alright spending 3/4 million and having seating on a flybridge for 16 but can you imagine trying to cater and feed that amount from the galley without dropping something 😁
Could you do a special with a doomsday scenario? What kind of a boat would you recommend for "liveaboard" as long as you can autonomously, which region you would move to avoid pirates/marauders, what kind of necessities/redundancies you would fill on upon? Yeah, solar autonomous katamaran and caribean region would be my take, definitely not southeast asia and probably only very close to civilised shores of eu in the mediterranean...
@@waltercastillo6842 Definitely not an explorer yacht as they need massive amounts of fossil fuel, which will not be easy to find in an apocalyptic environment. If you somehow had an unlimited supply of gasoline or diesel then an explorer might not be a horrible idea, although they are usually pretty slow so if you needed to get away from a situation, you may not be able to quick enough. I'd go with something solar/wind powered that has some good speed in the water and could dock at many places... and a water desalinator would be great too.

But for more extreme weather, stronger winds, huge waves I'll take my chances on an explorer. To each his own though, every type has its pros and cons. All of that space on the main deck and they crammed the galley and dining into one small area.. it just doesn't look practical..and who needs 3 sinks on the fly deck? Such a great boat otherwise, loved the cabin sizes and colour choices..

I absolutely love Galeon boats, and this sure lives up to my expectations. Their bow cockpit designs are my favorite, their versatility is amazing. Absolutely beautiful cabins. 2 things that really stand out, for me. (1) The crew areas. Love the small galley, you could use it to make a beach club lunch. Finally a builder designed crew cabins on these size boats that are convertible cabin/storage spaces. (2) My favorite, the lighted bar/galley panels. I have always loved that style. Thanks for getting us on this new Galeon flag ship.

Love the sunroof over the main bridge. I spotted it when you guys were heading off the bow and wondered if that was really a slider like it appeared. That'd make some sweet indirect breeze through the salon with the back doors wide open and cruising at an insane 30 knots.

The shelf in the galley and the whole galley is beautiful, I wouldn’t want to clutter the shelf with a bunch of cereal, crackers and such even when docked, maybe a couple of hanging-not too low plants but the shelf is a nice feature.
Great tour and the yacht has tons of cool features. The only disappointment for me is the bed in the VIP cabin. It’s not very practical with that V shape. If I’m going to invest that kind of money on a yacht, I want my guests to have a VIP experience all around.
This yacht represents the most modern thinking in yacht design. It is designed for a certain type of client and is an unqualified success in addressing the wants of that type of client. As an older person, I have to say I am not a big fan of the oversized windows. Think about it. Most boat owners spend the majority of their time in marinas. There will be boats moored very close to your own. And the people on those boats will be able to see everything you are doing inside your boat. Even while you are sleeping, (or doing the other things people do in bed) they can watch you. The same for people walking on the piers. I value my privacy and would not feel comfortable inside this yacht. Also the air conditioning is going to be working very hard to keep the interior comfortable in warm climates. Other than that, this yacht is a perfect '10' for those people who want a fast, comfortable yacht that can be owner operated. I subscribe to a lot of yacht tour channels and yours is my favorite. As beautiful as the vessel is and all of the thought that went into aesthetics , I fail to understand that in the control design of the pilot house ( cockpit) that everything is totally dependent on electronics. I have seen better compasses on a bass fishing boat and it was blocked from easy view by the huge electronic display panel. In traveling to different areas the land masses are made up of different kinds of minerals and some of them cause magnetic interference which can cause a compass to be off by ten degrees or more. If a sudden fog envelopes your vessel and you have an electronics failure on board you better have your plotted chart up to your current location or you wont know where the rocks are that are just awash in your approach to the harbor or cove. A well magnetically balanced real compass should never be overlooked from a captains perspective.
Galeon really outdid themselves with this new flagship build. Pretty much checks all the boxes for me. The only thing I would like to see on an 80ft is a separate wheel house or at least divided some how. Other than that an awesome boat. And a brilliant tour from you guys as always!

One thing , should there be a crane ( is that an option from Galleon ?) for Jet Skis or a Tinder and storage area . And is it easy to switch out AG batteries and go with solar and lithium batteries. Like I've done on the RV ? Forgive my ignorance, I'm listening to you guys to expedite my learning curve . Thank you for all the great information and great production quality of your videos😊🎬!!
@@brianhansard4144 Even if the manufacturer doesn't offer a davit, those are very easy after market installs. I've done a few. But it's preferable to have the factory that makes the boat beef up the substructure in that area ahead of time.
Another great tour by Victoria and Rico! This seems to be a big party boat meant to carry many people. It does have many beautiful features that people who party hard will love! 20 years ago I would have wanted that, not so much today.
I'm only halfway through and have only seen the outside so far, but, boy I wish I was rich 😂. Bring on the dad joke tshirts! You could probably even do hats 😜. The windows are amazing, I use to do commercial glazing (mainly curtain wall systems) and just moving pieces of glass that large is a feat in itself! I've always loved Galeons but this one doesn't appeal all that much to me... it's nice but seems a little 'too much'... They make smaller yachts that feel like bigger yachts extremely well (I think 440 Fly is my favourite of their models) but this larger one looks needlessly cramped in places for the size and a bit gaudy, which might explain why the crew quarters seem like the most interesting part of this.

Being a legit 6'7 and the space on this Yacht, this would be a perfect fit for me. If I could bear to pass up on the Sunseeker Superhawk 55 and the Mangusta Maxi Open. But the wqindows on the GALEON 800 are pretty epic.
I'm all for enthusiasm. But this woman's childish gushing is soooo distracting when your trying to evaluate the salient features of a yacht for comparison. " Ohhh, gee, wow, amazing ! It's got a locker for fenders !! How neat is that !! " Wowee 😂. I just wish the guy (who's doing a much more 'sober' and informed job), would just lob her overboard ... I think she's just all about parading herself and showing off her new boatshow dress. So tiresome ... 😅
Assuming I buy the correct lottery ticket tonight, I am not sure which yacht to purchase. You both show off these yachts better than the salesman. Charcuterie's going to work out ok?
That is one heck of a roomy 80 and that bow is genius! The only thing I don't like is crew and engine room access being on the swim platform, it's dangerous when underway. Yes there is the engine room hatch but people don't use them and in heavy conditions, that's also not the best option as you are on a vertical ladder into an equipment space.
Would love to know the price, 4 cabin all with en suites and a day head up stairs is just brilliant. Super massive area for a large tender. Would use some of the flybridge for a hot tub if possible.
What an awesome craft!!! I loved the fact that Victoria and Rico could not hide their excitement when revealing all of cool design features of the Galeon Flagship Yacht. What an amazing walkthrough tour. I had to watch it twice because there was so much to see. Thank you.
We don't get Galeon's signature drop down sides and we do get some of the transforming features that are present throughout the range. The other part about this boat that's nice is you can get a tepanyaki grill. I asked. Lol. I annoyed the Galeon rep for like 10 mins. I don't know who he was, if he worked for MarineMax or Galeon, but he answered my questions.
The range stats seem off, 2,000 nm at 10 kn is 200 hours and with only 1445 gal that would mean this big boy could make 10 kn on 7 gal/hr for both engines?

If so, not the best idea to be getting sea water on/in your lead acid batteries. I hope it was just the camera angle. Can’t wait to see your progress on your Bering. 😊

I can't believe this is an 80 foot ship, the use of space is pure genius. Every inch of space is perfectly designed, no space is wasted. i think this may be the perfect ship, not too big, not to small.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Galeon boats!!!! If you think this is good then you should check out their more affordable boats. The 500 fly is incredible and the small 400 fly gives you so much more space than anyone could reasonably expect from such a small boat. It's amazing how much space they cram in. I know Pearl are pretty good but Galeon aces it every time - and their prices are damned good!
That is a great boat for entertaining/chartering/ weekend runs. Loved the Wood work and back lighting, the layout up on the Fly was pretty sweet. And those MTUs are sexxay as hell, the speed would be fun, and that's a really nice engine room. 👍
But i gotta say, the last videos you guys did for Bering and CDM, I'm firmly a Long range explorer Wannabe. If i could get a Bering 80 with "Uptight's" Aft fishing pit... god talk about heaven.😁
I'd say the flybridge seating would fit 16 + 12 opposite of the bar. I love the open shelf in the galley. I would put cooking oils & spices for cooking. I absolutely love this yacht. Galeon always does a great job. They're my 2nd fave brand (Sunseeker, Galeon, Riva, Pershing, Azimut).
Somehow, the interior curves of the boat didn't look very nautical to me; when I saw the master cabin it hit me that I could easily imagine it as the interior of a spaceship!

The shelf in the galley and the whole galley is beautiful, I wouldn’t want to clutter the shelf with a bunch of cereal, crackers and such even when docked, maybe a couple of hanging-not too low plants but the shelf is a nice feature.
I’d use it for fresh herbs. Nice sunny location and easy access for cooking.

Great tour and the yacht has tons of cool features. The only disappointment for me is the bed in the VIP cabin. It’s not very practical with that V shape. If I’m going to invest that kind of money on a yacht, I want my guests to have a VIP experience all around.

This yacht represents the most modern thinking in yacht design. It is designed for a certain type of client and is an unqualified success in addressing the wants of that type of client. As an older person, I have to say I am not a big fan of the oversized windows. Think about it. Most boat owners spend the majority of their time in marinas. There will be boats moored very close to your own. And the people on those boats will be able to see everything you are doing inside your boat. Even while you are sleeping, (or doing the other things people do in bed) they can watch you. The same for people walking on the piers. I value my privacy and would not feel comfortable inside this yacht. Also the air conditioning is going to be working very hard to keep the interior comfortable in warm climates. Other than that, this yacht is a perfect '10' for those people who want a fast, comfortable yacht that can be owner operated. I subscribe to a lot of yacht tour channels and yours is my favorite. I would trade the redundant bar on the flybridge for the hot tub option for sure. Galeon never fails to impress, especially for the price.

As beautiful as the vessel is and all of the thought that went into aesthetics , I fail to understand that in the control design of the pilot house ( cockpit) that everything is totally dependent on electronics. I have seen better compasses on a bass fishing boat and it was blocked from easy view by the huge electronic display panel. In traveling to different areas the land masses are made up of different kinds of minerals and some of them cause magnetic interference which can cause a compass to be off by ten degrees or more. If a sudden fog envelopes your vessel and you have an electronics failure on board you better have your plotted chart up to your current location or you wont know where the rocks are that are just awash in your approach to the harbor or cove. A well magnetically balanced real compass should never be overlooked from a captains perspective.

Galeon really outdid themselves with this new flagship build. Pretty much checks all the boxes for me. The only thing I would like to see on an 80ft is a separate wheel house or at least divided some how. Other than that an awesome boat. And a brilliant tour from you guys as always!

I could actually consider this as a S.Fl live aboard and not be intimidated because it's an 80' and that's not too big for me to manage. One thing , should there be a crane ( is that an option from Galleon ?) for Jet Skis or a Tinder and storage area . And is it easy to switch out AG batteries and go with solar and lithium batteries. Like I've done on the RV ? Forgive my ignorance, I'm listening to you guys to expedite my learning curve . Thank you for all the great information and great production quality of your videos😊🎬!!
@@brianhansard4144 Even if the manufacturer doesn't offer a davit, those are very easy after market installs. I've done a few. But it's preferable to have the factory that makes the boat beef up the substructure in that area ahead of time.

Another great tour by Victoria and Rico! This seems to be a big party boat meant to carry many people. It does have many beautiful features that people who party hard will love! 20 years ago I would have wanted that, not so much today.

I'm only halfway through and have only seen the outside so far, but, boy I wish I was rich 😂. Bring on the dad joke tshirts! You could probably even do hats 😜. The windows are amazing, I use to do commercial glazing (mainly curtain wall systems) and just moving pieces of glass that large is a feat in itself! I've always loved Galeons but this one doesn't appeal all that much to me... it's nice but seems a little 'too much'... They make smaller yachts that feel like bigger yachts extremely well (I think 440 Fly is my favourite of their models) but this larger one looks needlessly cramped in places for the size and a bit gaudy, which might explain why the crew quarters seem like the most interesting part of this.

Being a legit 6'7 and the space on this Yacht, this would be a perfect fit for me. If I could bear to pass up on the Sunseeker Superhawk 55 and the Mangusta Maxi Open. But the wqindows on the GALEON 800 are pretty epic.

That is one heck of a roomy 80 and that bow is genius! The only thing I don't like is crew and engine room access being on the swim platform, it's dangerous when underway. Yes there is the engine room hatch but people don't use them and in heavy conditions, that's also not the best option as you are on a vertical ladder into an equipment space.

Would love to know the price, 4 cabin all with en suites and a day head up stairs is just brilliant. Super massive area for a large tender. Would use some of the flybridge for a hot tub if possible.

We don't get Galeon's signature drop down sides and we do get some of the transforming features that are present throughout the range. The other part about this boat that's nice is you can get a tepanyaki grill. I asked. Lol. I annoyed the Galeon rep for like 10 mins. I don't know who he was, if he worked for MarineMax or Galeon, but he answered my questions.
The range stats seem off, 2,000 nm at 10 kn is 200 hours and with only 1445 gal that would mean this big boy could make 10 kn on 7 gal/hr for both engines?

Nice review as always Victoria and Rico. Just a quick question. From the camera angle it appears that the sea strainers were above the lead acid engine batteries. If so, not the best idea to be getting sea water on/in your lead acid batteries. I hope it was just the camera angle. Can’t wait to see your progress on your Bering. 😊

I can't believe this is an 80 foot ship, the use of space is pure genius. Every inch of space is perfectly designed, no space is wasted. i think this may be the perfect ship, not too big, not to small.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Galeon boats!!!! If you think this is good then you should check out their more affordable boats. The 500 fly is incredible and the small 400 fly gives you so much more space than anyone could reasonably expect from such a small boat. It's amazing how much space they cram in. I know Pearl are pretty good but Galeon aces it every time - and their prices are damned good!
That is a great boat for entertaining/chartering/ weekend runs. Loved the Wood work and back lighting, the layout up on the Fly was pretty sweet. And those MTUs are sexxay as hell, the speed would be fun, and that's a really nice engine room. 👍
But i gotta say, the last videos you guys did for Bering and CDM, I'm firmly a Long range explorer Wannabe. If i could get a Bering 80 with "Uptight's" Aft fishing pit... god talk about heaven.😁

I'd say the flybridge seating would fit 16 + 12 opposite of the bar. I love the open shelf in the galley. I would put cooking oils & spices for cooking. I absolutely love this yacht. Galeon always does a great job. They're my 2nd fave brand (Sunseeker, Galeon, Riva, Pershing, Azimut).
The three Displays on the lower Helm look reale great, By putting them a little bit higher

Somehow, the interior curves of the boat didn't look very nautical to me; when I saw the master cabin it hit me that I could easily imagine it as the interior of a spaceship!
I toured this yacht and was blown away at the team features as well!!! Thé washer and dryer is a great addition. I love you Victoria!
