    Thank you for sharing the tip about snakes. If there is a known issue at a park we keep the kids closer or don’t go until like you said winter months. Looks like a wonderful place to learn a bit more about the springs.

    I'm spoiled - i live in a place with no poisonous snakes, and no poison ivy. The snakes I do see are cute garter snakes. Enjoyed the visit! Thanks for showing us Boiling Springs State Park

    Amazing the surface of the water doesn't move! That raccoon print looked so big, I thought you were going to say it was a dinosaur print, lol!! My son is the same way about snakes. ❤ Cool park, and I'm like you with poison oak (no p. ivy on west coast). Walk by it and I get it. When my husband would come home from hunting, he had to strip in the garage, start his laundry, and go straight to the shower. Of course he was immune to it. 🤪🤪😄 You survived! Yay! 👏👏👏👏🤗

      eeeekkkk... poision ivy is not my friend at all... in more recent years I get more allergy-ish like eyes and nose running rather than the all over rash.. but still NOT COOL!!!
      The spring was pretty cool to see because it is one of those natural wonders and had there have not been snakes the hiking was sooooo great.. seeing all the little prints was neat!!

    Don't worry about it I'm scared of snakes too and they are really weird looking if you ask me and I am in Oklahoma and I yes I've run across several snakes and a bowl of stricter is the one that we have here that is Major so and we have some regular strip strip snakes but not a lot but it's mostly grass snakes that will not hurt you they say but I don't want to see them or hear them feel them or nothing so I know

    • @BunnyPlaysHere

      Certainly! I really want people to be able to go out and discover the places for themselves if they have the ability to do so. And if they do not I want to give them a full picture so that they can see what the place is about and maybe learn a little bit of information that will make them feel good about watching.

    OH NO! I'm right there with you on the snake thing. We have lots of snakes here and some are not friendly! I hate the nasty things. Last year I was going to pick something up in the yard and came face to face with one I'm sure I stopped breathing for way to long, I slowly backed up and ran back in the house.
    But nice park and coole to see the springs bubble up through the silt.

    Had poison ivy so bad , I couldn't see my face was so swelled up had to get injections. The snakes don't bother me as long as they don't come by me. I had a snake go on top of my sneaker and didn't notice until my husband told me. Than I flipped out.

    • @BunnyPlaysHere
      @BunnyPlaysHere  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been there also… I know that it’s absolutely terrible. As a child I used to just be in the air of poison ivy and I would break out into the most horrific hives ever. I remember one particular Easter my leg is swollen to the point that the doctor marked a line on my leg saying that if it moved beyond that point I would have to go to the hospital. It was very scary.

    I understand your fear, considering Oklahoma Is home to 5 types of rattlesnakes, where most places only have 1 or 2 types. With 7 typed of venomous possibilities, fear is reasonable. Just learn what the venomous kinds look like and the other ones will look kinda cool.
