Amid 'Sound of Freedom' Media Attacks, Utah AG Doesn't Mince Words, Says 'Tim Ballard Is a Hero'

- Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes is a politician and public servant, but he's also a confidant and friend of Tim Ballard, the subject of the new movie "Sound of Freedom." Ballard, who is played by "The Passion of the Christ" actor Jim Caviezel, is a real-life former government agent; in the film, his journey of discovering the horrors of human trafficking and then going on a mission to save children is depicted.
Tickets to the film continue to sell, bringing the topic of child trafficking to the forefront of the media. Reyes, an associate producer on the movie, joined CBN's Faithwire to defend Ballard against media narratives attacking his character.
The Utah attorney general's interview comes as some outlets also seem intent on trying to connect its themes to QAnon and extremism. Just consider the teaser for the Rolling Stone review, which read, "The QAnon-tinged thriller about child-trafficking is designed to appeal to the conscience of a conspiracy-addled boomer." A review in The Guardian called the movie "QAnon-adjacent thriller." "Tim Ballard is a hero," Reyes proclaimed, revealing he has joined Ballard on missions to rescue kids. My wife and I spent 22 years overseas as missionaries and we became aware of the horrific trafficking of humanity. Besides other duties as missionaries we also began working with street children and learned a great deal about the trafficking of children. I did some research on this issue and was shocked to discover that the USA was the number one recipient of trafficked people. It appalled me that the U.S. government had all these statistics of how many people were being brought into our country and yet little to nothing was being done about it. I am so grateful to God for getting this film out. Praise God for people like Tim Ballard and those involved in the fight against this Satanic industry and I praise God for actors like Jim Caviezel for being brave enough to also put his reputation and life on the line (as Tim Ballard and those working against this industry) for these victims! It's time for America to wake up to this repulsive reality and cry out for something to be done as well as getting involved in helping to eliminate global trafficking, not just in the USA.

My daughter is a detective in the sex crimes unit, and she says she is frustrated that many cases she has investigated and built a solid case on, are often dropped by the prosecutors and attorney general. There must be justice! She said she copes by prayer and meditating. It is a horrific job, but she does it because she wants to advocate for the victims. A lot of hard work, long hours and emotional stress goes into these investigations. She is a hero, too.

Saw The Sound of Freedom last night. I have never been in a theatre that sat so still and quiet. No one moved until after the final special message at the end.
Thank you to those sincere and truthful people that are fighting for the lives of those that have no voice and no hope.
That was my experience tonight in the theater too.
Same here...whole theater was completely quiet and everyone was considerate. That is, until [to my shock] my cellphone started to play the Pirates of the Caribbean tune in my pocket. Thought Mute meant mute...guess not so for alarms! I'd forgotten that I recently set a nightly alarm so we could switch our condo's thermostat from Cool to Heat around 8pm. Man, I was embarrassed--especially since I struggled hard to get it out of my shorts' tight cellphone pocket and turn it off quickly. Said, "sorry!" quietly and went out to lobby to turn it totally off. Embarrassing....as...heck! Movie was an eye-opener...especially when it stated current slave statistics. I advise everyone who hasn't seen it to see it.

This happened to me in Utah. I was recently drugged at a party and put in a strange vehicle in the neighborhood I didn't know. I woke up from this vehicle thinking that I was going to be taken. It was in the middle of the night. I walked to a house a little bit away from the car and knocked on the door asking for help. They took my shoes away, so he gave me shoes and a blanket and I asked him to call the police. I waited on his porch until the police arrive. Within two minutes of talking to me I was arrested for being a drunk nuisance and I'm currently fighting charges for public intoxication and disturbing the peace in southern Utah. I have filed my own police report and I told the cops about everything I could remember. They told me they couldn't investigate the car and no amount of effort has been put into looking into this.
