  • The Urbanaire Apartments in Southeast Portland is where Cynthia Kinney has lived for two years. She will be the first to tell you it has been great, but suddenly she is having second thoughts.
"I was mad," she said. "Mostly mad and I felt like I don't feel safe."
Kinney woke up Wednesday to quite the surprise in her secure parking garage. The driver side window on her 2018 Subaru Crosstrek was broken.
"My first word in the parking garage by myself was the F-word loudly," she said. "Then I slammed my car door and was really pissed off."
"It's very frustrating," said Jim Rostel, director of sales and operations for Anchor NW Property Group. "Everybody is frustrated right now."

Smashing with a clothed elbow reduces the chance of a glass break sensor being tripped. Plus a lot of cheaper model cars don't even have sensors.

The last few minutes you do see an alarm going off, look at the headlights going off and on

With the mask 😷 and hoodies there’s no hope and I’m sure they are wearing gloves 🧤 too they need to have a 24 hour security and take it out of the rents that’s the only way to protect these vehicles
