      One question, how many gens are there and which years are they?

    • @SeeMeRiding
      @SeeMeRiding  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@didntstickthe1v150 1st gen bikes are from 2010-2013. Then in 13/14 came the HP4.
      They did in a minor facelift in 2014, but nothing major. 2015-2018 is this bikes gen.
      19/20 came the brand new one.
      Some ppl count the 2017-2018 as a new gen as it was Euro 5, but it didn't really do anything else to the bike, except the new emission regulations, so it got the big cat converter and different color schemes.

    • @didntstickthe1v150
      @didntstickthe1v150 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      SeeMeRiding thank you very much, so are there big differences between the gens? Im planning to buy one and im not sure which ones. Also, ive heard the new models dont backfire when quickshiting. Because that bang sounds so crazy😍

    • @SeeMeRiding
      @SeeMeRiding  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@didntstickthe1v150 The 1st Gen bikes pop really loud on upshifts. 2nd gen like mine pops less loud but it always pops in lift off and downshifting. Also if you give a little bit throttle it always pops. The 2nd Gen bikes improved a lot. Up and downshifting, semi active suspension, cruise control, more torque. Try to test both before buying if possible. But if you can't, i'd go with the 2nd Gen ;)

    I think BMW should have incorporated a magnetic ink display for the speedometer because there is no glare from day light.. it’s the same as a Kindle book. Can be read easily with sun shining directly on it.

    • @SeeMeRiding
      @SeeMeRiding  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Would you say this is a good sport bike for a short rider? The only liter bike with a shorter seat height is a GSXR1000. I know seat height isnt everything, but I had to lower my GSXR600, I was wondering if I could get away with just a little lowering on this bike, or if it was a really wide bike and I needed to look elsewhere.

    • @SeeMeRiding
      @SeeMeRiding  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a tough one. Best would be to find a shop where they have the bike and test of the height is a problem

    • @Rius1k

    • @gabrieljohannson6777
      @gabrieljohannson6777 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      #RideWithDanger - I am a short rider coming in at 163cm. For me this version is too high. I am on tippy toes. You can get a lower seat plus having some of the internals shaved out. Having said that, I have an Aprilia Tuono for 2 years now and I get by without major incidents & have never dropped it. Check out the new BMW S1000RR 2019 version. Its much shorter wheel base and slightly relaxed seated position (not as aggressive bar position) make it a real option for shorter riders on seat height alone. Having said all that BMW does offer lower seat options. Go to your local dealer and have a good look and sit on it before you take it out for a spin. Respect to you.

I need to know if others have this unsmooth ride at slow speed ..my hayabusa is way smoother at 3 thousand .I want to prove this bmw mechanic wrong. can anyone jump in . hold your bike at 3 thousand for me in neutral please. I wouldn't buy this bike new like this.

    • @SeeMeRiding
      @SeeMeRiding  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like there is something wrong with the bike. I had never experienced what you have. Even if you drive on low revs with 3 gear or higher, it shouldn't do what it does with your bike. I suggest to maybe get another opinion from different shop. Some shops can be real dicks and just says "yeah, yeah it's normal" They just want sales and don't care for the customers.
      But also remember that this is a high revving sports bike and it likes to be in higher revs, but i've driven so much in traffic with my S1000RR and never had these kind of issues.
