I have had many bikes, still have a Harley Street Glide for couch riding days but my 2016 S1000 RR is awesome. Same one this guy is riding, love the Black and red. I have ridden on it for a couples of hours straight and never got sore. I do love that when I want to cruise its great, and when I hit it, everything is a blur and I leave everything behind. Many riders stop next to me and love my bike, don't see a lot around. I like it that way :) WhenI bought mine, wife didn't speak to me for almost 2 months (you have to take some heat to have this baby) She talks to me now and I love getting out in this Texas Hill country for fast rides, so easy to hit 140mph just going from on ramp to highway. This bike will scare you, and thats what I love about it!!!

Might be a fast bike, but its also a safe bike leaving the electronics on. Only problem with the electronics is you never learn to ride properly. Ride safe.
Larry J uuh 1000ccs pull harder, faster, and now are getting lighter almost into 600cc light. so I don't see the point of 600ccs anymore especially when companies put all their newest technoligical break throughs in their 1k bikes

Saying shit like "Why do we have to sleep on the streets again" and "Are we going to have dinner tonight". But then turn on my bike and throw a couple rev-bombs their way. Works everytime.

BMW makes some crazy stuff. Like I don't know who else can compete with the S1000RR, maybe the R1? The BMW has had many minor changes over a really long time. The R1 has had big changes over a long time like the different firing pattern and suspension setups.

Ian Toogood well, the thing is... you will wear those tires out, and then you'll have the option to get whatever tires you want. If you are a newer rider and looking to go to the track, I'd suggest Dunlop Q3s, Pirelli SuperCorsa SP, or Bridgestone RS10. They are higher end street tires, and not quite race compound tires, but they will stick and last longer (cheaper too) than race tires

I've got 18 model with 12000km second hand. this bike I have is not smooth at 3 thousand revs doing 40 kph in traffic it's gerky .. put it in neutral and hold it at 3thousand revs the rev needle on dash jumping around 2 mm either side of 3 thousand revs.. that's what's makeing it unsmooth. my hayabusa is high performance and is so much smoother at 3thousand revs..BMW mechanic told me was normal I'm calling BS. can't possibly be like this not fun in traffic. can anyone jump in here and hold there throttle on 3 ..see if there needle jumps around.

This bike will scare you, and thats what I love about it!!!
