Absolutely, still have a good amount places I would like to explore this riding season so the miles with continue yo climb, we’ll see how much I end off the season with 👍
I put 6500 miles on my zx6r the 1st year I bought it. I only live 5 miles from where I work, so I literally ride it everyday even in the pennsylvania winters
That’s what’s up dude, I’ve been doing it since my teen years, not for motivation though, esp not that area, it’s all old / family money, no one there “got it out the mud” so nothing to be motivated by if that makes sense, I just like architecture lol I was once a pizza delivery boy in a wealthy area, Job sucked, Pay was garbage but I got to see some really really interesting houses up close and personal, I considered some of those homes just art lol
I did 63k on my S1000rr, it was fairly reliable through that time, changed the cam chain set and few clutch basket, but never had to adjust the valves, they were always in spec. But the big service you mention, if done by a dealer, the parts alone are more than 400-500. Im thinking you are looking at well over 1000 when the cam chain set is done.
63k?! dang lol what gen was it? Still have it? If not what happened to it? & yeah i meant more so Just having them adjust the valves if needed, you can do a majority of the checklist yourself or at a different time, some people split the things up and do some before or later on etc. Idk anyone that goes by the book to a T lol
@@MADLITS1K It was gen 1, I did oils and filter every 3k kilometers, bike was still on the original chain and sprockets, lubed them at every fill up. Only major issues were the switchgear and the poory made oem clutch basket. I have sold it and replaced with an Aprilia RSV4 RF. Beemer was ok, but the electronics and horrible throttle response put me of it. Engines on these things do last, but the suspension starts to feel like a shopping trolley after like 7-8k.
Hello man. Nice video. In my opinion a video showing reactions inside town would be very good and i think there are a lot of us who like seeing reactions
Thank you! & most of the reactions happen when I’m parked somewhere & not filming, I don’t really look around to see if people are reacting while I’m riding by, to focused on the road, I’m sure going through Manhattan I could get a video like that but I haven’t been there all summer, not sure if I’ll go honestly but I’ll keep the idea in mind
You have to bring the bike to the dealer or buy a tool to get the service light to go off and reset the dash. So an oil change is much more than a regular Japanese bike
@@MADLITS1K yeah i know u changed lol. And my boy has 2016 and he just hit 18k and did everything himself except valves lol. Waste of money tbh. Btw just found your channel maybe when im back in ny ill come on a cruise. Got 09 fz6r if u be down. Ima follow on ig as well
@@MADLITS1K sometimes I forget to comment, but I still watch your videos, your bike is something else! I respect you for remembering my name though, haha!
possibly, idk where youre from but usually the first gen can be found for around 8-9k.. 11k is 3rd gen territory, first gens are still amazing though, they just lack the tech the later gens have, id shop around a bit for a 2016+ model for 11k
I check for leaks after every ride lol the bumps here are vicious man and wow he’s got 18k miles already on a 22? Or just in general? The check list is fairly simple I’d just do most of it myself if I were him and split the important parts up.. do some early, some later, etc.
@@MADLITS1K na not yet. He has 8k on it now. But I said the same thing to him. He was like he don't touch anything on that bike. The dealer does it all. 😆 from that point on I've been calling him uncle money bags 🤣🤣🤣
Bikes are meant to be ridden! Rack up those miles, memories and experiences 👊

Same, bro I always drive through nice neighborhoods to look at the nice houses. I usually do it for motivation.

63k kilometers or miles
Clutch basket means clutch plates and hub
How many times u changed it
How much miles/kms clutch lasted
In kilometers, it was on the original clutch plates, but i believe it had three clutch outer baskets. @@parthasarathy5222

Wow getting knowledge 💣 while getting some rev 💣. 🔥 🔥 video bro.
Appreciate it jae, thank you 🤝
Nice bike. Om Bavarian and I approve this message. Thinking about getting a 1000r and your review is good. I ride a 1200GS now.
I am glad that you love the bike and it wasn't a "never meet your heroes" type of situation for you.
Thank you! & Me too man trust me lol I can honestly tell anyone thinking about picking up an S1k it’s definitely a go!
Awesome video man glad to see the S1K has been good to you
Thank you & you and me both 👍
@@MADLITS1K I know you’ve mentioned getting a grom, but any plans of adding to the fleet/swapping out the S1K anytime soon?
@@adiltahir472 as of right now, nope, the only other bike I want is a Harley sportster 48 lol

Dude!! Maintenance is so important, especially with the new bikes. Q? If BMW didn't build bikes. What would be your bike of choice.
Some type of bobber, I’m not THAT into sport bikes tbh
you swap out the magnetic drain plug? why not just clean it and reinstall with a new crush washer?
Money to burn
Just picked up a new 60th anniversary R1..
I’m near Francis Lewis Blvd. let’s ride
Got the vlog gear all setup…starting a channel
I post on my Instagram story when I’m riding you’re welcome to tag anytime
@@MADLITS1K awesome, I’ll try to keep up lol. Not on the gram as of now but will find a way to check it out . Thanks!
but all 1000rr models after 2015 and up its comes with electronic suspension ? why yours didnt come with it!
Wat do u do for a living if I may ask?
what helmet do you run bro? do you switch to a clear visor at night?
Where you get those gloves from bro?
O Neal gloves, brought from Amazon but you can get them anywhere
Where did you get that sick keychain?
touge dreamers website!
so sick
Thank you 🤝
Its on 18k miles and price for full service is around 1800$ +tax as i remember
Corrected it on screen in the video and people pay that? Lol you can do 95% of the check list yourself. I was more speaking just about the valves.

Don't forget to check fork seals too. My boys 2022 s1k 18k maintenance gonna cost him 2k. Smh
