Belated Congrats! I wonder what major/specialization you did for your PhD? How often one would drag on more than four years to finish a PhD there at Oxford?
Hendrick Tan I did it in sociology. It’s quite normal for people to go past four years in the social sciences, especially if you do qualitative research and need to gather your own data. The hardest thing about Oxford is that you can actually fail, as opposed to what seems to be much more of a rubber stamp approach in the USA.

Put the work in and you can achieve it. Lots of resources on Oxford's website and there's no "secret path". The only thing I'll say is for your DPhil, be sure to find a supervisor willing to take you on first.

Congratulations, though, if my memory serves me correctly, your doctorate degree from Oxford is known not as a Ph.D. but a D. Phil. !
