Day in the life of an Oxford student. 1. I go to the library. 2. I eat my lunch 3. I go to the library 4. I eat my tea/dinner. 5 I go to the library. I've been an Oxford resident for a while now. It's a good question. I'm not 100% sure I know the answer but I think alot of them are doing 'higher' honours. One of my housemates is doing a maths PhD and another a Masters, so I could probably find out. There were seminars too, and possibly more now than in my time. Generally though, you're on your own and it's assumed you are adult about your commitment. You meet your tutor once a week for about an hour, you are assigned a topic and a reading list as long as your arm. You go back to your tutor, read aloud your 2,000 words or whatever, and defend your thesis. If you can. Every week for eight weeks. That is the essence of the Oxford system - the weekly tutorial. Pressure of time, pressure of managing the work, pressure of performing to a high standard, pressure of realising that you're actually only quite average and in the company of some seriously bright people. I spent all my contact time there one-on-one, and as he says in the video, you're frequently dealing with people who are on your reading lists. The terms are short, at only eight weeks and you need to get an awful lot of the ground work done in the vacation, to do things right. I wish everyone could experience it.

Tom Kent where on earth did you get £48,000 from? It doesn’t cost £1000 per month unless you’re awful with money and tuition is the same for every course
swan D those figures are from the university itself and from my experience of living here for 3 years are pretty accurate. www.ox.ac.uk/students/fees-funding/living-costs?wssl=1
swan D Additionally, tuition is not the same for every course if you’re non U.K./EU
There aren't many students from the other countries in Oxford. I think it's hard to speak a foreign language at start. Paul is a very talented man!
A day in the life University Of Toronto or Waterloo or McGill plz!
Oxford and Cambridge are best Unis in the world.
C*******e is a jumped-up VIth Form College in the malaria-riddled Fens of East Anglia which was founded by lecturers who had been kicked out of Oxford for intemperance and immorality and took with them their students who had failed their first year examination re-sits. As the home of Evangelical Protestantism, Representative Democracy, Human Rights and all of the other evils of the modern world I hold the so-called "University of Cambridge" in utter contempt.
@@KempSimon are you trying to say that cambridge is bad or

Is there any scholarship available at Oxford for Indians?
Deepak Rajeev unfortunately no there isn't any academic scholarships for minorities at Oxford such as most upscale private institutions in the states like Yale/Harvard/Stanford/Georgetown/MIT but even so to qualify for scholarships at those schools you would still need to be a citizen

Serendipity will get Kai a degree in education, which Kai did in June 24, 2004. Kai repeatedly did in Ontario and Japan June 16, 2008 ,Jan 21, 2015 and HK needed to repeat the same process .
Lesson learned: serendipity is the word
The situation of talking with a professor for an hour about a topic, just you and him is very unique:
No, just come to Italy. Almost 90% of our exams are this way.
Artistoid. Not exams, tutorials

Hayallerimi yaşıyorsun paul. Good job
Study in Istanbul, social life is way fun and better :D
This is where the Rhodes scholars study. Those people intimidate the crap out of me.
The cutaway images of students conversing at coffee shops and such are clearly stages.
