  • Arrived to this call to help Jacob because I couldn't help him over the phone. This definitely wasn't what I thought was wrong because it sounded way more complicated over the phone. but we figured it out, and found out more issues.

Man I am only 2 years into this and I still call other techs/supervisor with some stupid questions like they probably think I'm a clown sometimes 😂especially if it's later in the day and I'm just trying to get home I can't focus and think straight sometimes.

Dude that happens to me and I been in my own truck for 4yrs now pretty much. Most the time I'll call about weird refrigerant issues

@@AB_HVAC Mine is low voltage issues most of the times like if I think I have a bad thermostat wire or something

@Ogtonyg that's understandable. Just always double check your wiring diagrams and know where your voltage is supposed to be going

Never dumb questions. We learn everyday on the job. Been doing this for 8 years and everyone once in a while I have to make a call. Just never forget the basics

That ductwork looks like it needs replacing. Back in February when i had my ductwork replaced along with my new system, it was the original ductwork and this house is 50+ years old. So you can imagine the shape it was in. Insulation was all coming off and it was keeping alot of the heat in the crawlspace because of that. Smh

      😬😬😬 bet it was nasty

@AB_HVAC it was! They had fresh air masks on which is probably standard for crawlspace work but still that ductwork was falling apart and looked raggedy. Lol

Replace the fuse cutout with an unfused disconnect switch. If you come across a fuse cutout, make sure it has time delay fuses only, for the inrush motor load at startup. A standard cartridge fuse will blow, especially during a utility brownout.

You still have thermostat wire problems…the white is energized…meaning it’s running heat strips and the fan off the heat disconnect…change that thermostat wire then you should be good

That makes sense, except I don't think it'd be a thermostat wire issue more like a stuck heat strip relay. My only reason for thinking that would be because even though the heat strip disconnect still had power my transformer and everything didn't (if I'm remembering everything correctly). So my low voltage wouldn't have been able to energize the white because I had no low voltage to begin with coming off the transformer.

Bruh so all it was were some bad fuses? and some ductwork made by Dracula😂

🤣🤣🤣 hell yeah. I didn't think to ask him about voltage from R to C because he was telling me all these other numbers
