Of course I had to check the review after purchasing this motherboard lol I have no regrets, though, this is a great motherboard, planning on running it with i7-10700k and RTX 2070 Super!

That’s exactly what I am building right now this is going to be my first build and my friend is selling me this for 390 and I bought the i7 10700k with a NXZT x72 so I can stream and game. How is it running everything?

@@AyyTurbo The build isn't complete yet. I'm slowly getting all the parts. Just bought my ram last night and still have SSD's, graf card, case fans and OS TO go.

Can you please explain me the thing with M.2 like whats pcie for and nvme or idk 😐 please help im new in builds

All M.2 drives plug into a PCIe slot but some are NVMe and some are Sata. Sata would mean it is capped at sata speeds 540mb/s it's just a nicer way to connect a SATA drive since no cables are needed. NVMe is Non Volatile Memory Express is basically an evolution of drives to be faster than SATA ever can be. NVMe starts at PCIe 3.0 and maxes out around 3.5gb/s read and write on high quality drives like samsung 970 evo plus. Newer and more expensive PCIe 4.0 NVMe's start at 5gb/s read/write but a brand new Samsung 980 Pro is doing 7gb/s but these Gen 4 NVMe's run a lot hotter and cost a ton more plus a mass majority of PC users are on Gen 3 systems. There is no need to be on Gen 4 if you game mainly as the new graphics cards RTX IO feature will support both Gen 3 and Gen 4 well. If you do a lot of professional work and large file transfers then the PCIe 4.0 speeds can make a massive difference.

@@TargetSniper365 well, you explained that well! Thank you! I will go with the 980 pro gen 4 1 tb for my games and booting. What other two m.2 do you recommend I use for just memory to have? I rather just go all m.2. I’m just gonna stream and play cs-go. Maybe edit videos for TH-cam but I’m not sure.

I heard you can use 11th gen chips in this pretty much future proof for pcie 4.0?

Doing research for my first build. I was looking at the support page for this MoBo and seen the latest BIOS update enables support for the 11th gen chips. I'm buying this board.

I don't see a dedicated header for the included VRM fans. Does it just not exist on this board or am I missing something really obvious?

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO WIFI or the newer z590 chipset ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO to pair with 19-10900k for better overclocking? Has the lan issue with the z490 chipset been resolved if anyone knows please and does it affect the XII HERO? Thank you!
