I am saving up to €2000 for a custom pc that I'll use to game and work (I am actually a programmer) should I use amd or intel cpu? And nvidia or amd gpu?
Well it would help the only thing is it’s different for everyone the type of pc you want the size and there’s like 2000 mobo (don’t quote me on that) so he could buy it wouldn’t be the best
i have bought the chepest ssd and m.2 for years now and after 15 years, ssd still running fine. I have not had any problems with a cheap ssd or m.2. Only had a problem with the Weston digital external hdd as I lost all my data on one hard drive.
Tbh any cheap SSD is fine so long as they actually work. If you're worried about loosing data do backups, or better yet get 3 of them and setup a raid5 for parity+performance. This is an especially good setup if you use used drives.
AND my absolute favorite I discovered not that long ago... cosmic rays... yup... random particles that hit juuuuust the right where it needs too... to flip a random ass bit...
Electronics prices always go down, as they produce more electronics, the older ones get cheaper. So if you can't afford to buy a good gaming pc, wait for it to drop the price if you got patience.
not kidding but my "loyal" seagate 4tb ssd .had to face lot of (what's the word power gone?) issues. and is still 100% health. salute to you. may she live long. but its definitely time to have an ssd for windows installation.
I plan to build a solid 1080p ultra build for around 850 bucks with a samsung 980 pro 1T. The H5 flow has storage for 2 small or 1 larger hdd so when i feel the need to i can upgrade
Just back up your data and you'll be good. I have a backup on three drives. Even something as simple as also putting it on your phone or laptop would mean a corruption would be fine.
Oh thank God, I have all my important data which is mainly my photos and videos and just documents stored up in my NAS, which is a server so it’s made for redundancy😂
here's a kicker: my last ssd (not an nvme) got corrupted when I tried installing a new GPU. I - foolishly - believed that it would sufficient to delete old drivers using the device manager instead of DDU (why use software for something you can already do, right? xD) Upon boot, it would get past BIOS but blue screen after. Entering BIOS the SSD ONLY registered as a boot partition, didn't register as a drive, and was mislabelled if I recall correctly. Installing a new OS on a separate drive got things working again... until I plugged the corrupted ssd back in. Even with Boot priority off of the SSD it would still get stuck past BIOS and just Blue Screen. Leading theory is that on boot, the SSD tried loading some cached files from the old gpu drivers but the drivers were gone so it just shat itself into oblivion.

Not really related, but still a question; Is it really worth to buy a 5090? A lot of people are saying the AI frames and whatever are bad, but I couldn’t piece much stuff together. Specifically the 5090, is it worth buying for a new PC?
The combo itself is very good but the 4060 isn’t that good. If you wanna game at 1080p I would suggest getting an intel B580 or an AMD RX 7600XT unless you really like ray tracing and dlss, and also maybe video editing, then in that case go for the 4060
There's this guy on facebook marketplace offering a PC with a 4070 ti super, along with an intel i9 14900k 24 core processor, along with Corsair vengeance 64 gigs of DDR5 RAM. The motherboard is an msi pro z790-a max wifi PC with nzxt f140 rgb core fans for case cooling, and an nzxt kraken elite 240 for CPU cooling, Which is all in a nzxt h6 flow rgg and is being powered by a corsair rm850e. He's offering this for any trade. Do you guys think this is actually legit, and if it is, do you guys think a Lenovo LOQ with a 4060 and an AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS with 16 gigabytes RAM would be enough?

That “ohmagad” 😂
His ohmagad almost sounds like the moaning “oooh my gawd” meme 😂😂😂
The only cheap SSDs I'd Trust is by Kingston. They are cheaper by shaving off the capacity of a drive.
of all my ssd's the only one that failed on me was a kingston, theyre really awful, crucial is better for budget ssd
Never, ever buy an NV2. Overpriced garbage. Patriot Viper VP4300 smashes it.
isn't the NV2 known for failing
@Stepher45it's tempting to people when it's the same price as a sATA drive

unsure if this is satire, but if its not, this was popularized by *one* speedrun incident and it was only theorized, not the actual reason
Is ryzen 4070 still good
Absouletly. It's on par with AMDs previous offering from the 30 series, the Ryzen 3080
Its so expensive IT IS 560 doolsrs

Yes it’s better than the 5090
