MFJJ, Constructive Criticism, could you please put your video's into play lists? That would be extremely helpful in finding the great content you provide all of us! All I see there is Bows for 2022, 2023. Example, Broadhead test (year), Stabs, arrows, Bow/Archery 101, Sight review etc.. Thank you for all your time paying it forward to us Bow Hunters and Archers!
Have you had a chance to look at the Skylon arrow spinner ? It looks to have bearings to spin on with a sanding plate and cost of $30 ish? In theory it looks solid ! I have been using their arrows for a while now and am very pleased with the price/performance analysis !
Hey Josh can you do a video on how the bow reacts/aims if the d loop is higher than the Berger hole or lower. It would be much appreciated, there’s no video on TH-cam that explains it and you’re the guy that’s gonna explain it best
I’d love you to do a little bit more on maintenance of your bow using the different equipment and that press I don’t know just different stuff. Is there an easier way to find out like is there a place online that you can take like a course that would show you all that, let me know please. Thanks.😊
Can you make a video on some of the issues that the new mathews lift is having what to worry about and not to worry about like the came lean, strings randomly blowing , limbs snapping, and one side of the limbs compressed down more than the others? Have been seing a lot of complaints from people about it and being i shoot a lift im curious as to what to watch for
I have heard some wierd stuff too... on the Title as well. I am holding onto my TRXs for now. Im sure the vast majority of them are totally fine, but Mathews is putting out a ridiculous amount of bows to try keep with demand so I think its just a numbers thing and a few more bad bows than usual are slipping through the cracks. Limbs all have deflection numbers and they are important to be in a good sequence for proper bow performance, so some of the issues with lean and over compression could be from line workers assembling bows without the best limb sequence. What I mean is that maybe once in a while they only have a limb set with a large gap in deflection numbers and rather than wait for another batch of limbs, they just do the best they can and get them out the door. For a right hand bow, I always want my bottom right to be the stiffest, then bottom left, then top right, then top left as the weakest. Its always amazed me at how much the tune of a bow can change just by changing the limb sequence... not enough people know this. They think all the limbs should be the same, but its not the case. As for limbs cracking, that is concerning. I think all companies have their issues with that though. Its just part of the game. PSE was having a bunch of splintering too from what I heard. I think the switchweight idea is awesome and it makes sense, but I dont think its necessarily a good thing for a limb to go from 50lbs to 80lbs on the same limb. Its why we have always had 10lb increments in limbs, so the material can get stronger as the poundage goes up. Maybe its totally fine, I don't know.... I would only be comfortable running 70lbs on any switchweight limbs personally.... unless they could give me 80lb specific limbs. I guess time will tell, but I think as the demand gets filled and order numbers drop, the bow quality will increase.
I've used Threadz, Rogue, 60x, winners choice, firewire, Gas, Joeys, mean moose, zebra and countless other factory strings... Gas are very solid. Joeys are great too. Threadz are great for the price. My buddy loves his ABB.... Factory zebra strings are the worst I've seen by a good margin... but at the end of the day you will hear love and hate for all string makers depending on someone's experience. All makers can produce superb strings, and occasionally an iffy one gets sent out. Gas makes an excellent string though. I had some issues with serving length and they messed up my order because I asked for some custom stuff to be done, but they did correct it and ship me what I asked for quickly. Was impressed by that. No questioning me, they just fixed the issue and sent it. What you should look into more than anything is what material you want. BCY 452x is probably the most common. The other thing is strand count. A lot of factory strings are 22 strands... and if you get a set of Gas high octane/ Ghost, or Joeys you will most likely be getting a 24 strand string... and the freakshow strings by gas are 28 strands if I recall correctly. They use natural 452x fiber with no wax, and wax takes up space underneath the serving, so they manage to get 28 strands with the same diameter as most 24 strand. You will need to wax them when you get them though. The only downside is no color choices and they cost a bit more, but if you are okay with that, they are solid. I have ran the Ghost xv in white and high octane in yellow, both were excellent and very stable. I shoot around 150-200 arrows/day and they held up very well as long as you keep them well waxed. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Gas again, and I think I will go back to them my next set. I have Joeys on right now, and they have been stable as well, but I actually found the build quality on Gas to be slightly higher. My buddy has a set of joeys though and they are flawless.... so it really comes down to the worker building your string, but I think Gas has pretty decent quality control. Good luck, you cant go wrong with most aftermarket strings nowadays.
I like you to review The Modsaw..
ElkShape did a review on it

what is the 3rd threaded hole for next to the brass brush and cleaning pad holder?
I put a larger brush in mine for my target arrows.
I put the last chance setup in mine which has better mop and a chamfer tool as well.
