Pretty basic achievement IMO. "Time well spent" is another story..
I once joined a deep dive lobby where the host was AFK. I got the achievement the moment I joined. Evidently, people kept joining the lobby, assuming they host would eventually return so they would find something to do. That eventually led to EVERY SINGLE THING, be it barrel, box, hammer, or mug, inside the drop pod. It was a mess. I have no idea how many dwarves came before me, or followed in my footsteps in joining what appeared to be a normal lobby only to enter mission limbo but get an achievement as a reward.

Is that the all barrels into the drop pod one? I did that while my friend was eating dinner in between our games. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THERE WAS AN ACHIEVEMENT 😂

How to get this achievement in 10 “easy” steps:
1.Get three buddies together
2. Choose complexity 3, lethal enemies on site refining mission
3. Play haz 4 while 3/4 of you are under level 15 and have >10 hours in game, and the fourth decided it would be funny to go in hammered (I was unable to hit my shots. Luckily, I was the team’s engineer)
4. Drop in, start building a roller coaster
5. Spend an hour getting it set up, set up to shorter pipelines to extract
6. Ride pipe, get achievement
7. Start refining, get overrun
8. Run into 3 Bulky boys. Have to resort to iron will to save the mission
9. Make a mad dash for the pod as a fourth bulk detonator arrives
10. Log off and go to bed, because that was probably the most stressful mission I’ve ever played.
It was fun, but I regretted it so much.
I remember when I went to get this one. The lootbugs just kept coming back, I would kill and kill, but there'd still be more on the line somewhere.
How come when its inconvenient i can have as much gold and nitra as i can carry but when i need it all of it just dissapears?
If you do it with a gunner friend you can have him go ahead of you with the Gauss pistol to 1 shot and loot bugs

I personally got it by cheesing the game.
Let me explain.
I just went on a salt pit refining mission and i had drink the brew that makes the terrain break in one less pickaxe hit. So the plateform spawned, and i just dug a tunnel through the wall straight until i reached the border of the Map (you know, the Brown rock that's broken in 3 hits no matter what), and i just did circles around the Map with the pipeline. It took a while, but it was fun to dig a diggy-diggy-hole!
I did the same thing but without the beer as a driller. My buddy was a gunner and spent the time keeping bugs off of me and grabbing nitra.
Yeah that's fair, i didn't realize back then that i could have done it with driller, and it would have been easier and simpler. I was just beginning the game back then, now i've improved a bit, but i'm still a gunner main, because 99% of my missions are done solo, and Bosco Can grab stuff i Can't, so i feel like having the best firepower gives me the best chance at surviving.
I need to get some Friends into this game, i really do...

I actually did this one with my sister before she had even promoted, I think I was still on my first, and we did it as an engi + scout on azure weald, had a whole bunch of mates join us halfway through and we just kept on going as much as we could, it was a real blast, recommend making an event out of it!
Just snake it, dude. Curve it back and forth to use all the space.
It's alot better if you prioritise the Pipe going up hills. You want to prioritise time on the pipe. Not length or speed. Avoid sudden drops for speed.
The longer on the pipe the better
Alternatively, trust someone to make a pipeline to the nearest pumpjack while you do the other 2, just to come back and realize he made pipes go through the entirety of the map twice.
Me and 3 friends spent 2 hours making a pipe go around practically an entire map to get this achievement. Was a great time!

I did this in accident and didn't even know it was an achievement when I got it, but when I did, it really sold me on the game. I was just experimenting to see if there was some sort of build limit on the amount of pipe you could lay. I played as the driller and just mined through walls until I ran out of fuel, refilled, and kept going until I ran out of ammo resupplies and fuel, built it and just wanted to see what it was like grinding that long. It was actually really cool looking because I did it in magma fields, so I was riding through tight caves, then it would open up to massive lava filled caverns, back to cave tunnels.
here's another tip, if you end up making the pipe go up, start from below and not above once you start grinding, because it's much slower to go up, than it is to slide down. I completed this achievement as a greenbeard with my brother, we were a driller + engi combo
Oh I have a great story on how I got this
Was playing Sandblasted with randoms, were awkwardly snaking the pipe through the wall to get to a well, and one of us randomly went "hey what if we went for Roller Coaster"
So we proceeded to spend I think almost an hour drilling through the walls, making spirals, flattening it, trying to slow the pipe down as much as possible, and generally having a great time, and not only did we manage to get the achievement, but we linked the Grand Pipe to a well and actually finished the mission, it was awesome
Legend has it he is still looking for the broken pipeline part to this day.

Engineer works well too, you can make overlapping sections with platform bridges
I am an achievement hunter but unfortunately I play on Xbox because I don't have enough money to get a good computer so this is a secret achievement. Fortunately helpful people like you exist and I thank you. Rock and Stone!
Ooh i got this one yesterday actually! I went in as scout and messed around with the pipes for a bit, then made the last one really long. I was in the cave for over an hour but honestly it was a good time. Finished the mission too, but only because bosco can build and repair pipe segments
I've completed it on a deep dive with friend, it was last stage and we, scout and engie put up pipes and fight hordes of bugs for 35 minutes. I'll never forget statisfaction of finishing that mission and achievement
I did all of this exactly how you said it when i went for this achievement and this is my first time seeing a tutorial on it lol
My friends and I did this one recently, we basically used the shaft the drop pod comes down in, used plenty of engineer platforms and made an actual rollar coaster. Protip, do not hold shift while riding if you get motion sick.
don't forget that going uphill is slower thus making it easier to complete the achievement. also, more likely than not going backword (from the pumpjack to the refining platform) is slower so use that to your advantage.
Got the game 3 days ago. Joined a lobby just to do a mission, went as normal. We get some drinks at the Abyss Bar, and they ask me if I want to get the achievement. I say sure, and an hour and 20 minutes later, on Haz 3, we have a pipe spiralling up next to where the drop pod went, and we found a way to break the unbreakable brown stuff at the top, and continued it up the black bit, which you can break with a pickaxe but not drills. Was very fun. Nearly lost it one time but I got a revival off from iron will.
when i did this with a public lobby we were going insane with how much digging we did to finally have 2 minutes
I just went on whatever mission on haz 1 sandblasted corridors, started building a rail spiral. just make sure to play as engi for platforms so you can do a second layer.
I like how the plan is "make a long pipeline" as if there's any other way to complete this achievement. Like "oh thanks, I didn't think about making the line longer before"
"OK so basically to build a long pipeline you have to make the pipeline longer"

My achievement hunter days. Good memories. Example I'm one of the not so many that got every single flag on assassin's creed 1 back in the day.
I would recommend to try going "uphill" since you travel slower, which means less pipes need to be placed to travel for 2 mins.
One of the earliest me and my friends grinder to earn
Most fun 4 hour mission of my life!
I got it on my 4th attempt as scout. I got a decent terrain gen in Azure Weald on haz 3, and it took 30-45 mins. Additional tips for this: test test test as you're going along! Dealing with a long stretch after something that barely knocks you off is incredibly annoying. Also, no bet-c. Not dealing with bugs is nice, but she will CONSTANTLY sit on the track and knock you off. Rock and stone!
We got 2 drillers, 1 scout 1 engi. Scout gets nitra, engi helps everyone, drillers dig ALL THE WAY UP TO THE SURFACE OF HOXXIES AND BACK DOWN LIKE 6 TIMES
Just got this, and i like it down here in one go
I built 2 of the lines as short as possible and then went to town on the third going up and around the cave while testing segments every so often and having Bosco build them. I was down there for two hours (I think I did haz 2 or 3 in the dense bio zone) and completed the mission.
The fun part of this achivement is to do it in a haz 5 mission while trolling your friend
You grind slower when going uphill, so drill into a wall and build an upwards helix at about 20⁰ to avoid reaching max elevation too soon while still grinding slowest possible.
Sliding *up* the pipeline makes you go slower than sliding down the pipeline. This will extend the pipeline grinding immensely.
Length is not always what you need
You also should utilize the amount of times your pipeline goes up as that slows you down, use less downhill pipelines as that speeds up your character meaning you need more pipes placed
Another tip if you're trying to also complete the mission, get the first two pipes hooked up before you start the long one, as you'll want to maneuver the pipe around the preexisting ones. You also dont need to worry about obstructing those by accident.
I just snaked the line around the cave and then destroyed it all with my drills and finished the mission, managed to get the staying in a mission for one hour achievement too
We made a whole competition out of it, who can build the best coaster in each refining mission
I remember how I and a friend of mine got this achievement on haz 5 mission with little to no nitra and a bulk detonator.
We ended up completing the mission, rock & stone!!!
It took me about two hours to complete this achievement because i still ended up beating the mission after. Oh the grind (pun intended) was REAL
I did this one twice- once with my partner kind of on a whim and he got the achievement but I got so excited about completing it I forgot to actually ride the line for long enough. The second time we went in with a plan and built the pipe in the largest area we could find and just snaked it back and forth as tight as we could. Just make sure u don't put the pipes too close together on bumpy terrain bc it might kick you off if the geometry clips at all
Now I wanna try this but with a combo of engineer and driller so I can make my own roller coaster with tunnels
once i did this simply bc yes on a hazard 4 mission
i simply asked my team :
'' Rollercoaster? ''
and everyone agreed to do it , and so we did we constructed a roller coaster together and then finished the entire mission.
It doesn't need any planning imo. I did it two weeks ago with a friend of mine and we didn't start the mission with getting the achievement in mind we just decided "Hey, why not do it?" and so we did. We had two goals:
1. Get the achievement
2. Make the roller coaster the craziest and funnest one we have yet to build

My friend and I got way too carried away with this achievement, the whole thing took like five minutes and dumped you onto the refinery from a lethal height when done lol
I love grinding
if you start grinding on a pipe and then pause the game, the time will still count up. so you can do that and come back 2 minutes later to the achievement. I'm pretty sure this only works in singleplayer

I just got this achievement. Took me about an hour and 1 1/2 reapplies for my drills because most of it was in the walls
Wish I did the hole stopwatch method... I ended up making one that last 5 minutes... I went to the toilet and came back and the guy was still grinding along.

Additionally, don't rescue BET-C. The amount of times my team and I were knocked off of the pipeline was way too many.
Use a lot of steep elevations, going up is slower, going down is faster.
It took me and a friend almost an hour to get this. We had a hacked Betsy and had to keep taking turns attempting to lure it out of the caves while one of us rode the rail. It didn't go well; Betsy and lootbugs kept cucking us by body blocking.
What a greenbeards you are! We build out all 3 pipes, got the achievements AND finished the mission.

I'm so used to playing engie and scout that I didn't even think about it
a few randoms and i spontaneously decided to do this on haz 4, it took an hour and a half and we had run out of ammo and nitra before we finished
lol I did this as an engineer I had a very wide open area so the ceiling was very high up and all I did was place platforms once I ran out of space so I had just vertical space to put all of my pipe lines
It would be useful for you to have an Engineer on the team if you already have a Driller since he can allow you to place pipes on platforms incase you want to go over something. Actually, now that I think about it, it would be really funny to have 4 Engineers do this achievement with all of the pipes placed on platforms, and then destroying the platforms after the pipeline is finished.

I completed this on a random refinement mission with 3 other ransoms. Just depends on if the other guys have the time and want to do it.
I got this achievement with a random who was bord I also recorded it a swarm happened just as I started so it was pretty cool
My dumbass thought 120 seconds was 1 minute and 20 seconds and made 4 different 2 hour attempts before I realized 120 seconds was 2 minutee
I did that one! I made a pipe that took 5 minutes to get from start to finish!
I did this accidentally, because the base was in a deep sinkhole, wich I had to build the pipe in, because the scources were on top of the sinkhole. Since I played as scout, and played in crystal caverns where everything took 3 hits to break, I had to build in a spiral shape, all the way up to the top
Me and the boys did this achievement for like 1 hour and lets just say it was a fun hour
Me and my team made this on has 4 while playing sewer surfing mariachi version on a loop, and it was verry entertaining
My friend and i messed up the first pipeline and it was a second short so we had to spend a further 3 HOURSE digging a building
Why do we need a guide for this achievement? Just add rails untill it pops up!
We did it with my brother two days ago and got another achievement in the process. The one to be on a mission for an hour or longer.

I basically eyeballed the achievement as Engi. Pretty fun despite the chaos.
If you do this without planning the *spend over an hour in mission* achievement is almost guaranteed

Just build a pipe Long enough. On any refining mission. What I did was I kept building and then riding back and forth while using a stopwatch on my phone. Done
i did this achievement first day of playing the game. it was hell
we did it on hazzard3 and completed a mission afterwards (it was a lot of building pipes)
I did with this my friends with everyone playing engineer because platforms. Worse mistake ever. We literally only barely completed the mission and ran out of supplies. Everyone was literally down to their pickaxes fighting for they lives.

I tecomnend building a pipe spiral upwards because it reduces your speed so you'll need less pipes
just dig a long tunel at 10 degrees (or more) up (becouse you will be slower so less pipe needed)
i heavily suggest getting a driller and just digging up

I got this with some randoms we were just a bunch of drillers and made a VERY long tunnel
