Yea 3.0t’s you gotta be more careful with using the flame map because of those small turbos…..the 3.7s can handle the beating if maintained correctly and not abused too much
got an infiniti g37 , got my berk test pipes , my isr exhaust come today & going get tuned . great video btw i always wanted to know if you have to stop or can you keep going to switch maps from steering wheel so im definitely getting bluetooth module . how off you change your spark plugs & stuff ?
I just did mine after 100k after I got tuned…spark plugs should really be changed every like 30k miles … if you use flame map a lot then swap every like 20k

If I’m getting dyno tuned with ecutek, do I buy the ecutek programming kit with the cable or do I just buy the ecutek tune without a cable kit? Also where did you buy ecutek tune software?
Contact your tuner, they should be supplying the kit for the Bluetooth
what u think about buying a second hand ecutek??
As long as it works….but you won’t know until the tuner uses it to tune the car … I’d recommend just buying it when you get tuned from the tuner

Car has full Ark exhaust, test pipes, and 650cc injectors for e85
So you leave the dogle in while using app ..sorry may be a dumb question currently waiting for my ecutek now ..is it worth it and safe nowadays???
Yup your phone connects to the dongle then on the app is how you control the tune.
Hi Maha, Im kinda new for this all, so can you still change the maps when your infinity is stock and doesnt have ecutek?
No you have to get tuned to use Ecutek…..it’s essentially a software license that unlocks parameters for the tuner to modify settings and add additional custom maps and pull power from your car/mods
Your car from factory doesn’t have any maps….just stock tune from factory
I got tuned in person but never bought the Bluetooth dongle, if I buy it now and plug it in, is it plug and play or will my tuner have to configure it to my car?
Double check with your tuner but it should be plug and play as long as your tuned on Ecutek….if not they should be able to do it remotely
So do I have to leave it in the obd port and have the app pulled up to switch between maps on the steering wheel like u mentioned? Im new to the tuning scene and don’t know anything I just picked up a ecutek stage 2 from Z1
Yes, in order to use the Bluetooth app you need to have the dongle plugged into the port….i leave it plugged in 24/7. It has ability to see any codes if you ever get a check engine light too.
@@Mahamotives if someone stealing pulled out the dongle would it still stay on the no start map for example?
@@PaidTheFine yes it’ll stay in the no start still … what ever map you left it in before you shut off the car, it’ll stay in that map
Okay even with "no start" what if someone breaks into your car and just unplugs your ecutek plug. will it still start? Im thinking about getting one for antitheft purposes and wanna know how it works
still won’t start…..the ECUTek dongle is just for your phone to connect to the tune. You can do it without the dongle to just by switching maps on the steering wheel. Whatever map you have the car in before you shut the car off, it will stay in that map. To get out of the no start map you have to put the car in accessory mode (turn ignition power on without holding the break) select your regular driving map your tuner programmed, either with your phone or through the steering wheel sequence. Then start the car normally.
Where to get the EcuTek package for the cheapest price? I don’t have any tune yet, could you let me know on some that you use?
The kit itself is about 200-300 … you can buy it separately but still need a tuner to tune the car either remotely, street, or dyno …. Most tuners give you the option to buy the kit from them when you tune

Nope…..tune alone cost around 1k…. Just to gain 5 hp isn’t worth it….. definitely do the mods before you tune

You have to contact Martin and ask for the dongle … it’s an extra charge and tell him you want remote tuning so he can send you files/diagnose any issues you might have through the app too … he can see everything going on with your car too through the app
Do u have any rasp in high way speed ( u have lower down pipe and ark grip exhaust
Test pipes and Ark grip … no rasp … when you first install it, it might have some rasp but after a while it goes away after it breaks in and just has pure sound.

I keep getting failed to initialize vehicle interface error code, I did my first two revisions with racebox and now I cant continue :(
Could be the Ecutek dongle or the obd2 port that blew a fuse
@@Mahamotives do you know what fuse that could be?
My ob2 port actually blew a fuse and fried my dongle …. I contacted my tuner and he sent me a new dongle bc it was still under warranty … just make sure to test the odb2 port and see if it works at all before getting a new dongle
@@Mahamotives the weird thing is that when I plug in the ecutek dongle it glows green so it must still be getting power? maybe the pins are out of place?
Plug in a regular obd2 scanner and see if it comes up…you can go to autozone and ask to use their’s if you don’t have one .. bc mine wasn’t lighting up at all .. so you should be getting power there
How much was the whole thing?
Tune with license was about 950 … it’s a little cheaper if you don’t opt for the phone app but I feel it’s worth it getting the app too
