Maam my school teacher told me to round off the number to the next number. Like you got 13 mm reading so 13/2=6.5 and youre telling to take the previous number i.e 6 but my teacher told me to take 7. So what should i do maam

Because each grid square is 20 mm x 20 mm.
So if we divide Eastings/ Northings within the block into 10 parts then each part will be 2mm .
So you measure the distance in mm and divide by 2 to get your 6- figure grid .

Why we should divide by 2 🤔🤔??

Because the scale in topography is 2cm = 1km . Therefore 1cm = 1/2 km . So when you measure distance in cm , you multiply it by 1/2 to get actual distance in km .
