MLB umpires have gotten out of control. The MLB needs to start punishing umpires when blatant calls are missed and not called. It’s getting ridiculous to watch baseball nowadays, umpires dictate the game way to much and don’t let players showcase what we actually came to watch.
I don't even think he gave both of them a warning, that's just ridiculous. Sometimes Umpires just don't know the game Afterall. Some of them are too sensitive. But I can understand where they're coming from.
52:00 lmao it was 92, what do you mean the ump knows nothing. Yeah it missed by a lot but that wasn’t by design. It was a bean ball thrown by a pitcher with bad aim, not a slider that got away from the lefty
And I thought ref ball was strong in the NBA and NFL. Prior to watching your videos I had no clue the umprires had that much power when calling games. The mere fact you have 14 (soon to be 15) seasons of this through out every month of the season from Spring Training all the way the Postseason is crazy. And the majority of the time it's a manger getting ejected for arguing call. Espeically related to balls & strikes. Which BTW, why the hell is arguing a ball or strike call an automatic ejection?
it is a balk all day but it has more to do with his front shoulder. The HP umpire called that balk because of the front shoulder. He cant call the breaking the plane from HP but he can call the front shoulder. Great call.
STILL to this day, if a batter gets hit by a pitch, at least half the time, its the catcher that gives the signal to the pitcher to tell him to actually throw at the batter, just like that one time, dont know how many years ago it was, but it showed a batter getting hit by a pitch and the first thing the batter did was kick the catcher Straight in the chest, then like normal he went after the pitcher....
I wish the directors of baseball broadcasts would be more sensitive to what's going on in the game. So often, the camera is late to things: ejections, arguments, any sort of drama. They will suddenly cut to something completely uninteresting, like the batter taking some warm-up swings, or the pitcher spitting onto the grass; meanwhile there's clearly drama brewing at another point in the game, but we miss it cause the broadcast director doesn't catch it in time. If there's a controversial call on a ball and strike, KEEP THE CAMERA ON HOME PLATE.
I miss baseball. I had a 3 tickets between the Yankees vs Red Sox. Not this year. My family struggling . All out of work. No help from our government. The haves have more. The poor have less.
"Ooooh! Right in the back...Or did it hit the bat?" Kind of wish they'd had a fourth commentating crew to see if things would escalate to "Oh my God! He's been killed by the pitc--no, wait, he's still alive, and it's a triple play!"
They actually don't. They get over 90% of calls right. I will say though some umpires have pure shit egos and won't ask for help which is why reviews needed to be put in the game. Any time a coach asks for help if i have an umpire i am working with.. if I see he has a better angle.. i will gladly ask. That is all coaches really want on some calls. It sucks if the call gets reverted but the point is to get the calls right and now let big egos get in the way of that.
1:55 you simply make a rule that besides the Manager anyone who enters the field not supposed to be there is suspended for 10 games and is fined the equivalent of their salary for those games. That means they lose pay for 20 games. 2nd violation double it. 3rd violation double it. After 4th violation their already losing pay for 160 games. No more whole team fights. MLB evidently wants the drama.
Umpires have to much control, if your in the dugout you can say whatever you want, the umpires get there feelings hurt to easy they cant take it leave.
Man I hope one day a manager will argue with the umpire (west, hernandez, joyce ect) and ask him if he knows what TH-cam is. Then tell him to go there and search his name on completion videos just so he can see just how much he sucks.
I think baseball should have an argument clock where s batter gets 30 seconds to speak his peace on a crap call. Instant ejection on strike calls suck.

If Girardi, he deserved that one, don’t bark from the dugout and argue balls/strikes, why that’s so hard for managers to remember is beyond me.
