Very different machines so it depends on what you are looking for in an ATV, how you ride, and where you ride...I can say that if you've watched any of our videos I say that the King Quad, Grizzly, and Brute Force are my three personal favorites based on reliability and features.
@PoliceWillProtect Considering the popularity of our other 'old' videos, from 2006, '07, and '08, we've decided to upload our even 'older' tests from '05 'and older' in hopes they might help others when looking at used ATVs or maybe at least be entertaining to watch.
What I own mostly depends on what I liked (and got a great deal on) at the time ;-) I own a Prairie 700 that I now use as my chore machine - weed spray, snow plow....and I own one of the Suzuki King Quads that we projected simply because I was too lazy to take all the stuff off when we were due to send it back. I'd love to own a RZR and may one of these days. In a perfect world I'd want a Rubicon for my work ATV, a KQ or Grizzly to ride, and a RZR. Oh, and a Ranger EV (or 500) for work too!
Sorry, didn't remember the video content. The Wetlands are identical to the Carlisle ACTs so while they are some of the best performing tires we've ever used, they wear very quickly.
@48113772 The Griz 660 is probably the worst Grizz - too tall and tippy and very rough engine. The KQ other than it's steep front steering geometry is a wonderful and smooth machine. It has always been one of our favorites.
@XxKoNFLicTxX Don't know. it's a pretty difficult thing to measure accurately. It will be different as the traction in dirt varies greatly as we all know.
hi I think which used atv i will buy 01-05 sportsman 500 ho, grizzly 660, or king quad 700. one thing u not like about king quad is too tall gear. what you mean? feel weak go uphill or go mud with high gear you have to change low gear to go uphill?if i stop mid of uphill high gear will go no plm or motor will work hard? i am 6'2 280 lbs. i have 05 Kodiak 450 i love it i owner for 10 year then give it to my wife. i used have 05 grizzly 660 i love how power it is! but not comfortable ride all day all weekend. and i start not like yamaha's front diff locker bec my 660 and Kodiak 450 broke so no front lock new parts cost around 500! i did sold grizzly 660 to buy kfx700 i really enjoy twin motor but ride sop rough ha i miss irs. i plan sold kfx700 then buy 4x4 again. what atv i like grizzly- power!, lighter, easy work on it. king quad- lighter, FI, better front locker system. sportsman... not surewhat thing i not like about atv. grizzly 660 feel tall, suck front diff locker, water get in air box easy when go in water fast. king quad- tall gear, and breath hose for belt pretty low so water will get in easy, and computer have some plm? maybe? for sportsman HEAVY and feel slow acceleration.
@pletosul01 IS there any used Japanese-manufactured machines available? Say a Suzuki King Quad 400, a Suzuki Eiger or Vinson? A Yamaha Big Bear or Kodiak? Or Honda Rancher or Foreman? I think you'll find these models far more reliable and long-lasting than the two you mention.
@PoliceWillProtect The 2010 Hondas are simply 2009's re-numbered as 2010's. Suzuki isn't even renumbering there's - just no 2010's! The industry is selling only about 30% of the number of ATVs they sold in 2007!
@ATVTV how do you like the 2007 model? would you take it over the polaris sportsman 500 h.o 2012? really considering both! open to suggestions thanks so much!!!!
+GOPRO MX I don't want this to sound wrong, but have you watched any of our videos? I have many test of the machines over the years. Go to our website and look through them. Hopefully there you will see what ATVs I really like (like the King Quad) and which ATVs I say have a list of things I don't like.
does anyone else had a problem with the ecm going out iv put 4 on mine and the voltage regulator going out iv put 3 of them on it just wondering if anyone else is having problems like that or know what making them go out ? thanks
@pletosul01 The BF is faster and with a better-sounding engine. The King Quad is smoother. Both handle great. You can't really go wrong with either one!
As always, when buying a used machine you should find the cleanest, best maintained machine you can. In this case the older King Quads were much smoother machines than the Brute Forces. The BFs became much better in '08 than the older models.
Yes,im watching your videos,but i dont speak english so i dont understand many things u say. First for little trips, mudding, trail riding... I have not ride other quads, only my 110cc chinese "quad". :D But i have to watch videos and i really like the Brute Force.

Only the original King Quads had 3 range sub transmissions. All the newer have two.
I've had one since 2005 and it has been great!!!

@Pawandeep211 Not really any more than any other IRS machine. We always set our shocks to the softest setting.
@justd26 Going through our archives of old shows puling these out certainly took me back ;-) We'll continue on hopefully all the way back to 2000!

@Derek130b The Outty 800, the Sportsman 850, or the Brute 750.
I was looking at one to buy its a 07 king quad was trying to finde out the miles but the odometer reads ERR do you have any idea what that means.
I would say that the Polaris Sportsman Value 500 would be the perfect machine for you ;-)
@x11xCod Depends on which model.....

So this one has High, Low, Superlow? Or the old King Quad you mentioned? Also does it have engine braking?
@YourFavoriteReviewer We can only hope!
@762x39guy Thank you my friend.

@ATVTV I haven't been to your website I'll be sure to cheak it out
+GOPRO MX Do. Everything is all categorized by years of tests, product reviews, and adventures, and more!
is this pretty similar to the twin peaks 700
@pletosul01 Buying a vehicle that you are familiar with from someone you know (assuming they are honest) is always the best!

@jacobtraxxasman Just high range and low range...
Is there any changes on a 2005 king quad to a 2007?
@Derek130b I really, really like the King Quad
does anyone else had a problem with the ecm going out iv put 4 on mine and the voltage regulator going out iv put 3 of them on it just wondering if anyone else is having problems like that or know what making them go out ? thanks
so is suzuki going to make a 2011 model???
Are the wetlands good on tread and do they last long.
Looks like some kind of error. Try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.
or should I get a 05 polaris sportsman 700 military edition 2 winches 1400 miles
I can't really help you decide what you want.
@pletosul01 The BF is faster and with a better-sounding engine. The King Quad is smoother. Both handle great. You can't really go wrong with either one!
which one is easier to drive... and which one would you choose
King Quad.
@DatMasta96 A lot of people feel the same way.
Hello, i am looking to buy a new quad, sportsman 500 ho, kingquad 700, brute force 750?
@ATVTV since your right here... what are your favorite 4x4 atvs?
+GOPRO MX My three favorites are the Suzuki King Quad, Kawasaki Brute Force, and the Yamaha Grizzly.
@ATVTVCOM Can Am Outlander
should I get this or the 06 brute force 650i 4x4???
As always, when buying a used machine you should find the cleanest, best maintained machine you can. In this case the older King Quads were much smoother machines than the Brute Forces. The BFs became much better in '08 than the older models.
what would you choose though for a 14 year old he's my son
Suzuki King Quad 400 or a Honda Rancher 4WD.
Whats with all the old videos?
Wetlands? Not sure I know what they are.
Yes,im watching your videos,but i dont speak english so i dont understand many things u say.
First for little trips, mudding, trail riding...
I have not ride other quads, only my 110cc chinese "quad". :D
But i have to watch videos and i really like the Brute Force.
@t8moran A Grizzly 660? Yikes!
what price would you ask to get it for
That depends on mileage and condition. Probably should check the classifieds for some similar models.
I meant out of the ones a said... i have short amount of time to choose
I think that everything you mentioned is too big for a 14-year old.
ok thanks
@PoliceWillProtect And too bad Honda isn't making any 'New' ATVs!
Itp ducks unlimited wetlands the one you said in the video.
are these automatic
Yes. CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)
@Derek130b Buy a used King Quad.
The King Quad, Grizzly, and Brute Force will be so very much better than your Chinese ATV you will be amazed.
We've not.
You don't see it from the seat ;-)
@48113772 You won't regret it....
@mick0473 Nothing of significance.
