Hats off to Ritu. I would like to see better boxing and kicking. Her guard was high exposing her ribs. However, she is a real deal, really tough. The Chinese fighter did a good job not letting herself punched out or submitting. 🇮🇳🙏

Ritu is one dimensional fighter. She can't trade blows, she can't box. She only has a take down game. One trick pony.
She really needs to improve her stand up and jiu Jitsu.

@@d15z1sux she would have less issues with cardio if she stopped wasting her energy in pointless takedowns every other minute. She has the aggression but lack of skill and she isn't developing and improving on her other weaker skills. She has so much potential but if she does not learn striking or jiu Jitsu it's wasted.
There's no shame in repeating the tactics that work for you, that you're a master of. She is a wrestler first afterall

Ritu needs to train a lot more jujitsu and strength training. She is small. But if she was a Lot stronger she would dominate with her wrestling ability. Jujitsu finishing moves can't be left out of daily training.

In addition, she needs stamina work. She gasses out much too early in many of her bouts.
She uses an awful lot of energy to secure a takedown. Then, it's a race to put her opponents into a crucifix for the GNP.
An effective Judo or a Jujitsu hip throw should do the trick without expending all of her energy reserves.
Itsuki Hirata is one of the best at this. Ritu Phogat is not that tall in height so her center of gravity is lower to begin with making her an ideal practitioner for such a technique.
Finishings, with respect to submissions, to not only learning how to do them, but how to defend against them as well.
It's her coaching that I question.
By now, everyone has seen all of her strengths and weaknesses.
The time is right for adding a new dynamic or two into the mix.
Although, a big part of the problem is her team being able to recognize the need for updating her skill sets.
Also at 29, Ritu's bio-clock is ticking away so whatever they decide to do, should be done soon.
At the end of the day, it's not enough to enter the MMA frey with only one or two takedown techniques in wrestling then rely on the judges to be favorable for the split decisions during your entire career.
@@RenKnight347 she needs to take some time and spend 6 months at Khabibs training camp. They all have a similar base of wrestling. But they have gone a little further and built in good striking. She also needs to double her strength through pushing and pulling exercises and work on getting a super grip so she can handle the wrists of people with jujitsu. With out the control of their wrists they do what they want on setting up their finishes.

if only knee on the back of the head/of the body is legal, then grappling is not that useful on mma, while fighter with grappling skill always use their knee to the face/eye socket when they got their opponent down, kinda feel unfair.

@@johnsurf509 I agree that she is hard to watch and being an Indian, I myself find her style very boring but why should she change to striking if her wrestling works for her and is also winning her matches? What she needs to do is train in bjj because she easily scores takedown but doesn't have the skill to capitalise those into submissions. If she does, she would be unstoppable.
