Some scratches are okay and won’t hinder the game. With resurfacing you want to take off the most minimal amount as possible

I remember reading something about Nintendo not liking the disks because they're easier to break and scratch. Shet, when I got my gamecube- I was amazed at how tiny they were. I was like... "I'm gonna lose these..."
The plastic carriers were always number 1, they just keep getting smaller.

How many times can you run it through your serfs or before a functioning disc stops working?
(If you do try this plz don't use a game )

If you do the process correctly and add the chemicals you can run a disc a lot of times without ruining it, at least 20 or 30 times, the disc will work but unfortunately the deep scratches are still visible so the cd loses some resell value, but at least it’s functional

I resurfaced my disk with a rupes car polisher, lay the machine on it's back and put the cruisecontrol on, hold the disk for dear life and polish away😂

Resurfacing Discs is bad for the disk because it takes off the protection layer of the cd causing audio to be slower and also the disk to be more vulnerable to disk rot
