this is the most versatile meta ive ever seen. Every week theres 2 different decks from the previous week like who would have guessed exosister in the finals.
I think the meta before Ishizu and Spright was better and more versatile. And I'm not surprised to see Exosister there, it counters all kinds of plays that the high tier decks do.

If you used every card in the game that’s at least 250 decks. But seeing the same 6-7 decks with the same 200-300 cards is good? There’s a reason this game literally sees 0 new players in the last 5 years or more and probably less then 20% of Yu-Gi-Oh! Players started within the last 10 years.

6:00 misplay from my swoswo guy there. He has vishuda and ashuna in hand thats a synchro 8 line that doesnt lose to imperm and if the exo guy chooses to imperm the chixao u make then u still have ecclesia.
Second to last turn also a misplay, add Longyuan, make Baronne, attack for game, no reason to extend as you have lethal on field and get a negate for whatever they have in hand.
I really think that Branded Tearlaments and the other variants should just be called Tearlaments Variants or something. Since from what i saw the gameplay differs so much from most of these decks, colliding them into one should be fair isn't it.

The tierlist is looking really weird. I'm pretty sure Branded Despia is leagues above Swordsoul. That player there was pulling miracles after miracles because Swordsoul is not supposed to win if you can't make any synchros (one could say it was Protos that won, but Protos only wiped the field and nothing else, the opponent couldn't do anything with that topdeck even if Protos wasn't here). Also, Runick Naturia is pretty damn strong, but no one seems to be playing for some weird reason.
I love runic naturia but the timer and all the flood gates in the meta rn make you feel like you’re jumping through hoops when you could just play something easier

It's really sad, but that's the current reality of Swordsoul. The deck is in desperate need for new support, specially a new starter that can be special summoned, and Longyuan need to go back to 3. No other deck in the high tiers rely on being able to summon just a single starter, they all can play if the first one gets negated, except for Swordsoul.
@@VixYW a new support that special summons would be dope but as a swordsoul player myself, i highly believe that the deck is in a pretty nice spot considering where the meta is rn, protos is pretty much the end board goal in a lot of match ups (sprite, branded, tear) and to get him out isn’t hard given you don’t hard brick. Getting your mo ye or taia negated isn’t the end of the world if you have an auspice or a longuyan in hand, there’s definitely playability if you get interrupted but the deck is just too fair to be a teir 1 or 0 deck. if only we could play on our opponents turn too :/

SS lock you into synchro summon, and no one play Zeus in SS because its simple have no use on the deck, either you link summon or synchro and that's it

I love how people always say that protos carries swordsoul yet it literally doesn't even matter if they summon it or not in 95% of the duels...like, protos just seals the deal, but, unless a miracle draw happens, the duel was over before it hit the field to begin with...it killed 1 exosister monster...cool, could've been a 2nd vishuda in hand and it would've ended the exact same way, could've been a pot, could've been emergence for longyung, etc etc etc...protos literally did nothing in this duel...he couldn't special summon his veiler and evenly matched ig Lol. The only time protos does anything ever is against specifically dark decks that have nothing but dark and even then it's the LAST resort if all other plays have been negated (by the insanely overpowered dark decks, might I add). You will never see a swordsoul player search protos off of emergence unless the hand has been absolutely cracked and uninterrupted, in which case - it is what it is. If anything, I'd say the tenyis carry swordsoul. Having a summon effect and grave effect (which banish for cost so if u wanna deal with them u gotta interrupt it before it even happens), both of which can end on a spin 3 with baxia and vishuda, along with the shaman + monk + shthana pop 2 more (one non-targetting), etc etc, all without even tapping into your main archetype engine is insane.
protos is a godly card for a reason, if you have a board of negates then add a protos, a branded player isn’t really gonna do shit, a tear player isn’t really gonna do shit, those are two of the most popular decks in the meta and protos limits them tremendously, it forces them to make some type of half asses play with their water and light monsters, but again if i already have a solid board set up, protos shuts off a big chunk of shit i have to worry about yk? and protos is searchable through heavenly drag circle too which is the better way to go than searching him through emergence

Both of them run their own floodgates and super poly). Furthermore, as I stated, again, in my original comment, the only way to add protos ON TOP of your negates is if you've opened godly. Again, no swordsoul player makes it their mission to get protos out. He's just an add-on bonus if u happen to open good and ur opponent opened bad. Decks that run actual floodgates like winda, any of the traps, etc, specifically make the decks around those cards and add any draw power possible to get to them asap. Swordsoul does not do that with protos. It really takes 1 disruption from your opponent for swordsoul to scrap the option to get protos out as they'd prefer to search for something else. I've made fields like chengying, grandmaster, dragite, monk, and protos with imperm and maxx c in hand. As I, once again, originally stated, if that happens - it is what it is. You did not lose to protos specifically, I just opened godly. A very good comparison to protos is herald of arc light. Why isn't he carrying sprite? he's a floodgate for branded and tear...it's because sprite doesn't make it their sole goal to summon him. If I interrupt them, they will prioritize sprite plays and scrap herald, just like swordsoul scraps protos. Lastly, as I mentioned in my original comment...again...by the time protos hits the field it's 95% of the time already over. Protos seals the deal. It does not carry. I think people just don't understand what the word carry means. Protos can't even come out on his own unless u set him up. Shifter, fissure, macro, (which exosisters play, btw) are all cards that hard deal with him cuz u can't get the attributes in the gy. I can't just spawn him on my board and win. And just to clarify, I am not saying protos is a bad card or not a quote on quote "floodgate", but he definitely does not contribute to swordsoul's success nearly as much as people make it out to be. It will be just as good if it gets banned. I actually am fine with them banning protos and unlimiting longyuan cuz I'm tired of banishing both of them with the pot.
