You can tell by looking at it that the sight isn't made as heavy as they used to be. I never had a problem with Ruger back when I used to deal with their service dept. when I worked at the gun store. I do know that the gun companies usually close down for a couple weeks between Christmas and New Year.
Hey Justin! That was a cool looking hide that you were scrapping... and the "Rawhide Project" deer hide looks like it will turn out fine as well! Those Tipi poles will last for quite a while! I'm looking forward to seeing it set up for the first time, in the near future. Congrats on having that Smoker Tray fit your (New To You) toaster oven. As Col. Hannibal Hayes from the ol' A-Team TV show used to say, "I love it when a plan comes together!". Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! The Spotter Scope will certainly save a lot of trit trotting to and fro as time wears on. If you can't latch on to a replacement sight for the Marlin... is there a chance that you might be able to machine one of you own... and attach it?!
You might not like them, but if you never checked out a skinner peep sight, it may be more durable and help with the aging eyes too. Not sure if they make them for that model, but might be worth a look
Looks like the 30/30 is ready for action. 🎯 I see Roxanne likes the new buggy too. Is she guarding it like the old one.? Been feeling bad again. Went to doc had diverticulitis again 😒 but got some meds to help.should be good to eat For Christmas dinner.
that buddy of mine in east tx that made knives i sent ya a link to his channel passed away about a month r so ago that second shot i dont think you pulled it as much as the rifle was on the feed tube in the shootin sticks

I know that makes you sick about your new rifle. I'm surprised about that on one of the new Marlins. My nearly 70 year old eyes do work better with a peep sight like some of the other guys suggested.

Good video, I had a 1967 Winchester 30-30 and had to keep replacing the front sight. I believe that all of them have weaknesses of some sort.
@@markbrandli i have a solid iron sight on the way for the marlin. It was bad thin
