Currently the owner of Em’s Catering and Training Services, which provides great culinary experiences and service training for the hospitality industry. Mwaka also runs One Level Service, a business that provides executive and management training such as change management, team building, life coaching, and strategy development. Having lived away from Zambia for almost twenty years, Mwaka returned home and joined a large international bank in Zambia where she worked for 8 years.
While in the Diaspora, she studied Commerce and Economics for Developing Countries at Delhi University in New Delhi, India. A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Strayer University in the United States where she then joined the Non-profit sector by working in finance and grants Management in Washington, DC.
