Back when a simple picture could make you play it through again and again. Will they bring back this feature?
Simpler is better. I'm actually torn between the RE1 remake and RE2 remake. The static backgrounds and camera angles make combat frustrating. But at the same time they really add to the atmosphere and suspense (especially the door transitions).
I feel like Silent Hill did a good job of combining static and dynamic camera work. Dynamic when you need it. Static for impact (like the alley in the beginning).
All that said, I'm looking forward to playing RE3 non-stop next week. Crossing my fingers for a usable knife!
@@4itchy.tasty.138 Personally for me RE1 and RE3 Jill will always be the best ones. I liked the blonde look for her better. This at least keeps the sort of "tradition" of basing Jill's appearance off of models from either eastern europe or canada so I don't hate it. Her appearance changed constantly anyway. It's the voice actress and character direction I'm iffy about. (I didn't like Helena at all in 6 and just her similar voice will be a nitpick for me lol)
I loved the epilogues so much. Guessing at the stories direction based on a few paragraphs and photos was so cool. I've beaten RE2 and 3 more than all others combined. I think I've played RE3 through all the way at least 50 times already just on hard mode. I lost count years ago. The atmosphere in it is rather unique among RE games. Only the very beginning of 2 and maybe some of the outbreak game scenarios really captured that same feel of the "city without hope" for me.

While 2 has been my favorite for plot and aesthetic, it was specifically that "city without hope" vibe made 3 one of the best zombie games I've personally ever played.

I was working and we were just in the beginning stages of the pandemic; on April 7, 2020, not to long after this games release, I was notified of my release from the company due to Covid impacting business, and so, the quarantine commenced for four months for me before getting called back and I will tell you, those memories I created with my father and son, I will never forget them. But yes people, it’s time to get back to normalcy and work,

This definitely is a song for a grand conflict resolution. It almost seems as though Capcom should've changed the handle from re to something else. Like a new beginning. Kudos to redoing it up man!

Haven't played the RE3 remake yet but listened to the save room theme. honestly its tough between both the remake and this one because they're both amazing! please keep this up :D
Edit: I'm going through a sad nostalgia trip right now... this music is great honestly. its helping remind me a lot of things I did in my past and I keep remembering old TH-camrs I use to watch. and now... seeing them gone. it just feels bitter. but still great though. will definitely listen more when I'm working on my personal projects.

I think that in the alternate universe RE3RE is set, Jill and Carlos indeed ended up together, and that picture of them on a cruise would be canon.
What makes you think it could be canon in the remake and not in the original as well?
@@SurvivalSpheres Because the path the "canon" storyline took. If Jill had not appeared in following games, that picture could also be taken as canon.

Oh I would love to, but unfortunately it's not possible. If it were up to me, I would upload all my songs that are directly based on third-party content to Spotify & Co. for free, i.e. completely forego the (ridiculous) royalties. But that's not technically possible, so the only way to avoid potential rights issues - at least for the moment - is not adding those songs over there :-/
by the way, this ost is more suitable for the theme of the save room more than original the ost of the save theme Resident Evil 3
This game has pretty much 50/50 good and bad reviews so I'm sorta worried. Fingers crossed as RE3OG is my fav!
Most of that has to do with the reviewers stating it didn’t live up to the original; quiet honestly, I am fine with that as I not 100 percent fond of it, I loved RE2. I am excited to see the re imagined version and believe it will be more in depth in terms of story.

@@dante7302 The OG wasn't a full game "technically" either. Reviewers playing the game now before release are basing it as IF it should live up to that degree. Fuck what they say. Don't listen to pre-release reviewers EVER. If you are THAT unsure, then wait until release day and watch a let's play. If a couple hours in, you feel as though it will be a good experience then buy it. At the end of the day, the past couple years have been the best RESIDENT EVIL years for like, a decade and a half. Support them. The last thing we want is for them to turn to another Resident Evil 6.
Well my first playthrough was 3:58. Not a bad game at all, just cant help feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. The game completely revolves around speedrunning and I feel like that was a mistake.
@@dante7302 I'm still in run 1, since I'm a damn slow player who spends hours to look at everything. So far I like it, but I fear that after completion there will be not much left to do, resulting in an "over too early" feeling. But so far I encountered many details that were aimed at the classic players and I thoroughly enjoyed these.

Just letting you know since you asked to be kept updated: I started Parasite Eve today finally. I only played up until the start of "day 2" so far. It's very different than anything I've played yet it's oddly a lot like many other games lol. That rat transformation had my jaw on the floor lol. I have to say so far my only "criticism" is I have no idea what's going on yet I don't dislike that too much as the game is presumably FAR from over and only just starting. If I continue to enjoy it as much as I have so far all the way through I'd rate it very favorably.
Side not is the system of armor and weapon upgrades and multiple other elements are very similar to an idea I had for a game I wanted to make with a friend as a teenager a decade ago. I gave up on it before really starting as I got distracted by a girl. I guess that's just fine though since she's still around after all that time and so are the ideas if not the many detailed notes and awful concept sketches I made lol. I thought I was thinking something totally unheard of back then though. Only to find out pretty much every "unique" idea I had has been done already they just haven't all been combined together yet lol.
Everything has been said already.... but not by everyone, haha! I hope you'll continue playing PE, and perhaps it's a good idea to get your girl involved in the game story. That might lower the risk of her distracting you again this time ;)
@@SurvivalSpheres Lol good advice if I can manage it. I'm thinking of just moving the ps3 to a different room where I have less distractions. A game like that should really be appreciated for it's atmosphere if possible rather than played in the open with others around and lights on volume low. Alone in the dark with the volume up has always been my favorite way to play survival horror.

I somewhat enjoyed playing it... ONCE. After the credits nothing was left though. It felt empty and rushed. The was some fan service, but no substance that would stick and last. Raccoon City never looked more beautiful though^^
