So how have you all been in the meantime? Also, I'm interested to hear your final thoughts about the REmake3.

*I think Resident Evil 3 was okay has the original, an extra small game containing most only assets from Resident Evil 2, but got real dissapointed with Nemesis, not even closer he gives the same feeling as the original, I guess Mr. X now does that better, but I loved what they did with the final music when you go agaisn't him in his final form
I was good and then not so good and now kind of in between lol. I've gotten stuck on a game called extermination and not had enough time with the console to play past the first part of parasite eve yet (but what I did play left me very curious and was pretty interesting so far.)
As for the remake of 3 I'm gonna say that whatever else it may have been or not been it just didn't seem like RE3 to me. I haven't played it yet just watched so I haven't decided how I feel about all the details yet but...overall I have a lot of criticisms. The clock tower was an absolutely integral point in the original but pretty much the whole second half of the game is totally different. Also without nemesis killing brad or sticking around past a single hand grenade he just didn't seem as threatening...I liked some things but overall from watching it and from what's being said about it by most reviews I don't think I'll be picking it up until much later when it costs less.
Also Jill's character changes made it feel more like an action movie than a blend of action/survival horror to me. I didn't like her dialogue and voice acting like...at all...She looked fine enough but the way she reacted to nemesis just didn't sell him as a serious threat and her interactions with everyone else came off as her just being kind of shitty to everyone as a default setting. But what do I know?..According to most I'm "stuck in the past" because I didn't like the new claire or ada as much as the originals either.

Re3Remake well... I overally enjoyed it, but it's not so good as RE2 remake for me...
I particularly miss such moments in the game that you're put into bigger location and have some time to just visit every place and figure out the route you wanna choose during doing some riddles. The game is packed with action for sure, it has gr8 moments, but it lacks this RE atmosphere I'm so fond of.
I also hoped that Nemesis will be similar to MrX, meaning he will be moving in the locations and look for us, it will be possible to stay unnoticed, but of course he'll be faster, more dangerous etc.
And don't forget about cutting off the clock tower and ink ribbons completely :((
I can't understand the decision about getting rid of the inks, why don't give the option to turn it on for those who want? ;(
Guess too linear and a little too short. So, I'm a little dissapointed.
But the battle with nemesis near 'new clock tower' was epic :)) 🔥
And yeah, save room theme was looped :D
I really liked the new Jill Valentine portrayal too :)
What are your thoughts about R3make? :)
I've only watched Streamers play it, but it seems a little more action-based than RE2. I think the main reason for that is that most of RE2 you were in claustrophobic hallways with enemies and X following you, whereas this one has a few more open areas and the dodge mechanic and stuff. I appreciate everything the did with it, and it has some -really- good lore and files! I think a lot of us watched/played the demo and assumed that the whole game was going to be Nemesis pursuing you, when in fact it's really only that early area of the city, which was disappointing. I think it would be cool if they made a brand-new game in the franchise, using this engine.

So beautiful as always. You can hear, that something happend, which turns this beautiful track into something really sad. Jill lost many good friends and also want's to escape from this city but.. she isn't really sure, if she wants to leave anything behind. Thinking about the good memorys back in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, laughed together with her friends and now, everythings going down. She only has herself.

I agree with you. Remake2 motivated me to play through often and hunt for trophies (which I normally don't care about at all), but Remake3 I only played once so far. I was nicely made, but something was missing. It seemed shallow.
I subbed to this channel faster than you could say Barry and I’ve never regretted it.
R3make... where to start... as a stand alone game if it weren’t tied into the Re storyline as a main title than I could play it, enjoy it and recommend it. As a “faithful” remake to the original in the sense of re2 remake, it failed at literally every stop. No clock tower no open city exploring no gravedigger, on rails nemesis fights.. I mean they couldn’t even get the s.t.a.r.s line right... I’m a resident evil fan to the core, for Christ sakes we all are we’re listening to alternate save room songs we love it so much! (And because they’re amazing) but if anyone with a straight face wants to argue why re3 made the mark than please, I’ll be glad for the discussion.
See? Nobody argues, and for good reason. I also do agree with you. They should have taken another year or so and then release a proper game with more detailed content and deeper mechanics, but hey, better than nothing I guess. Maybe another RE3 will come in 2040 or so.

I love your animation with this song. I often wonder what happened to all of the letters, documents, and evidence the S.T.A.R.S. collected during the mansion incident. Surely they had to have brought something back with them to show what happened...
Yeah I wonder, too. Perhaps Barry framed the map of the mansion on the wall above his fireplace, Jill put the four keys in her jewel box and Chris planted a branch of Plant42 in his garden. Nostalgic keepsakes.

Was that in the game haha I didn't find it if it was. Playing Daymare 1998 it has its own RE style save music it's a great game too I love it. Thanks for the great sounds as always.

What are the books about? And the crests look like they've taken ages to make.
Yes, it's real assets. The books appear in RE1 (called "Doombook"), but this is the remake version (called "Last Book"), and the medals as well. I had a skilled craftsman make them for me, full metal.
