Realest shit ever though. You can’t force someone to be done or stop when they are not ready too, that never works. There are the very VERY few exception but 99/100 times that person is going to release because they weren’t ready. Was the only one of my buddies to never say I’m gonna quit soon because I knew that when I was finally done and ready that I would be just like I did the same with smoking ciggs. Have been clean for almost a decade now and so glad I did it. My life significantly has changed for the better since getting clean and it was only because I was finally fed up and enough was enough.
Good luck to all those out there struggling and not quite ready to be done with that life. Nothing but prayers and positive blessings your way, make sure once you are finally done and ready to have a strong support team by your side filled with real loved ones.

They were either given birth by an addict, got hooked on it as childen or in their early teen years. Those are the group of people who struggle most with their addictions & who go through hell to maintain their sobriety. Others who actually got into drugs in their 20's or later most of them are just weak minded & are making excuses. I got her clean we lost everything we were all separated staying with family sleeping on couches being treated like shit so I told mom since she won't quit then I'm gonna join her. One day I passed out on Roxy's and almost died at a family function in front of my mom and her sisters and embarrassed and her hurt very deeply. In the hospital I told her I wouldn't quit unless she quit doing crack the next few weeks I saw my mom make a complete transformation, in two months time she had an apartment and a job 6 months you can tekk she was clean as a whistle amd had all her kids and grandkids back together in one shibang. And we left drugs alone and never looked back. Mom hates drugs now and helps people get clean. Having been there before, every time I'm tempted all I have to do is remember what it was like during that time when I felt i had reached the end of myself. Attaboy Joey. What a guy. That’s why we all love and respect you. Not afraid to admit your faults and problems. Not afraid to face them either. I respect you so damn much for being so real.

I think I’ve reached that point. I’m just done, I’ve been a coke head and alcoholic for most of my 20’s. Fucked up many relationships and ruined a lot of opportunities for myself. I’m gonna quit this shit now though for me, I’ve had enough

@@hottoxobro what’s wrong with you? You might be joking, but you’re literally acting as an infection in the life of someone tryna do better for themselves.
To Taylor, hold your head up, bro. I’m tryna fight my addiction to weed (Ik people might laugh and say it’s a light drug but it really has pushed me to do some low down shit just to get high like digging in my couch for fucking quarters). Rn I’m on my fourth day of not smoking and as much as I want to be high, I also know that I deadass don’t feel good in the end. I don’t even feel good about myself, cause I know every time I do it, I’m caving in to my lower self just to feel better for a moment. You can fight the thought of having it, but you really need to replace that high you get from alcohol and coke with something else. Go jog or work out whenever you get the urge to smoke. Replace something that feels good now but hurts later with something that hurts now but feels good later!

The process of getting sober is the most important aspect in your journey of becoming a better version of yourself. Once you understand that your done with all the bs that you put yourself through and start making those necessary changes, you realize that you’ve been keeping this extraordinary individual locked away for so long and you are finally ready to enjoy life fully and truly….
Good luck to those still going through the process and know that you have the power to change just trust the process 🤙🏾

Yeah i was addicted for 10 years and just out of nowhere one day i couldnt find anything to take and that same day i met my now wife. We've been together and ive been clean for 10 years now never looked back or picked anything else up evee again. I cant promise it wont be hard because it will be, but what i can promise you is that starting to live a normal life again and not having to rely on shit to get you through the day is better then any high, just feeling your life coming back to you is such an amazing feeling.
