I live in a full four seasons location in the North East US. We’ve had so many “snow days” (where the schools and businesses are closed due to winter storms). Heavy snows are one thing but Blizzards and blizzard-like conditions are two different weather challenges residents may face as a matter of fact for the region. But there was one particular storm back in 1977 and it was literally the white death for some unfortunate folks. The storm rolled across the Great Lakes with such ferocity and strength it caught many on our highways and roads in a blinding blizzard - sealing their fate. Their cars were their coffins as they were buried in drifts so high and fast all that was visible were the tips of the car’s antennas. Fortunately for my family it was an incredible winter weather event we lived and survived through sheltered at home for several days, with winds gusting to 66MPH of blinding horizontal snow filled white-outs. We couldn’t see more than a few feet looking out our windows and the roaring of that cataclysm is near depicted in this video. You bet we had our comforters on our beds, firewood stacked and ready (miraculously we didn’t lose power), flash lights ready and plenty of hot soup for dinners and sleeping wasn’t a problem. But the one thing that stands out in my memory is hearing the roar and howling winds as I drifted off to sleep and woke in the morning to hear the same.
My mom and dad grew up in Worcester, MA and both of them and their families went though the blizzard of 78’. My dad said he and his older brother had to jump off their second story window to try and shovel snow so they could clear the front door/porch. Insane to think about…

Absolutely.. As a native of of Minnesota.. I can confirm, this is spot on, exactly what it sounds like during a dangerous snow storm/blizzard. Other times it’s eerily quiet, with mild winds.
I live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We occasionally get a blizzard like this one. Nothing to do but stay inside your home and keep warm. Because of the high winds factor in a blizzard, the power could easily be knocked out. We are always ready with a fire in the fireplace and lots of candles! Cozy up and stay warm Ricky.

Good job on this video! I actually came here to see if it was real or not. Being as how I've been in blizzards like this, I thought it WAS real at first, but then what made me suspicious that it wasn't were the frozen plants on the left side of the screen. They don't move at all, and in those winds, I'm pretty they would. The other couple things are, there's no bowing of the trees, though there should be if the wind were coming from one main direction like it appears to be. They would at least be swaying back and forth. The final thing is how no snow accumulates on the camera. If those were fixed, you'd have absolutely convinced me, 100%, that this was real. Lovely video. Reminds me so much of days gone by. All in all, excellent job! Thank you for making this.

I was diagnosed with RA 25yrs ago the only thing that helps is sleep. Thank you so much for this.😴😊
I've got fibromyalgia. I used to enjoy the howling rain sounds, but since the rain is a huge flare up for me, I stopped listening to rain sounds. Blizzard, plane flights are my new relaxation sounds the last 15 years. It really helps.
I hear you Linda. Love, healing and hugs.
Honestly Ive always loved the sound of the wind whistling but lately this sound has been really calling for me 🤍 It brings be a sense of coziness, comfort, peace and humbleness ✨ Thank you!
Ty so much I listen to this every single night it helps with my ptsd and the thoughts in my head while trying to go to sleep I just listen to this and boom 💥 gone nothing but peace wish this peacefulness on all.
Every night Blizzards sounds on , fan blowing on your face and cover upto your chest . Then all there is to do is imagine your in the middle of it the comfort this gives my anxiety and depression. I also binge eat on a night aswell I love night times. Hope everyone is safe and well.
I have chronic insomnia. I have 6 children, mostly young. I’m 59. I take a scrip but it only helps me fall asleep, not stay asleep. I currently am out of meds and will be for over two weeks. I resisted this, needing something much stronger. As I am do desperate, I finally tried these videos and they help. Ty
Nature and Holistic healing is the only way to get cured and not be reliant on synthetic toxic prescriptions.
I hope your situation is easier now and that you got through okay without your meds. I'm on a lot for my mental health and going without causes me huge issues, so I really empathise. wishing you well
I can't wait for the Christmas holidays to come God willing, I'm listening to this while putting up the tree, best dang sleep ever

Sleep is the best thing to sorting out your life. Thank you for these videos..
The ice 🧊 sound love it. Sleep to this every single night 🥱 😴
I love your intense Hiver : ))Wow ! Hat's Off. The trees seem to have had their brushing mistreated. The wild, icy and beautiful visual is transcendent. What exhilarating nature, what bewitching season. The air is so icy that the plants on the ground are frozen. Winter landscape of an ineffable snowstorm Sounds, light, gusts, squalls, ballets of various trees: moving fresco, intense, dense, moving everything in its path by the ardor of this fiery blizzard. Super, superb and sumptuous (sss = alliteration). Congratulations :))
I love listening to,the wind ! Thank you for this!
Great makes me long to be in a cabin listening to this all day as I write thanks so much.

What is it about a snow storm that calms and comforts the soul whilst sitting next to the woodstove in my cozy mountain cabin.
Thank you thank you thank you so much 💕 I have severe insomnia and my 5 month old is showing Signs of the same thing...this gets us right to sleep and keeps us sleep throughout the night! God bless you ❤️🥰☺️
Your so welcome! Glad it was helpful! 😊
Writing a novel that takes place in the middle of a snowstorm. This takes me straight into the world and makes it much easier to write 🙏
Too bad mostly rain today 😔 but I enjoyed the snow storm all night ❄️ thank you 🌹
You’re welcome 😊
This storm sequence brings back many pleasant memories of life on the prairies- I STILL love to sit on my radiator and watch and listen to nature alive...I rarely get the opportunity anymore as I don't live on the Prairies and climate changes ARE a reality, whatever the cause- and yes, I shovel!!!! Namaste
Love 2 sleep 😴💤 2 this sounds, so relaxing right please enjoy your sleepy Time.
what I don't understand is why people giving this a negative review it's for relaxing and you know sleeping if you don't like it you don't like looking at it don't but it's really a nice video to help you relax at night okay so just take it for what it is enjoyment and help you sleep not to be critical whether the computer generated or not just a nice video
I’ve been raised in a climate defiantly not like this. Is this what it really sounds like?? Amazing. Amazing humans survived this. 👏🏼
Absolutely.. As a native of of Minnesota.. I can confirm, this is spot on, exactly what it sounds like during a dangerous snow storm/blizzard. Other times it’s eerily quiet, with mild winds.
@@neilmcvey627 wow. I’m going to listen to it again,& imagine living in this environment. Danke.
God bless you both I listen to it and I had a peaceful sleep you're just put me right to sleep hope you feel better
My comment will probably get lost but whoever reads this.. you got this! whatever you are going through will get better hang in there 💛

Here's The Interstellar, The Endurance Engine noise, design for sleep, study, meditation. 1 hour long, made for you. ENJOY! 😀 : th-cam.com/video/t4K1C45SOz8/w-d-xo.html
🎉 The sound of snow falling is like nature's own white noise machine, gently lulling me into a state of deep relaxation. ❤❤
Writing a chapter in my book that covers exactly this type of weather. Perfect for focus!
