The 1972 Miami Dolphins are not the only team to have a perfect season in fact they’re not even the first 24 years before them the 1948 Cleveland Browns had the first perfect season

@@AJM357 because AAFC titles, stats, records and everything don’t count for the NFL. Look up right now if any of Cleveland’s AAFC titles are counted toward their total championships

the AAFC merged with the NFL the same way that the AFL did and in doing so there Championship Games and records are included in the NFL's record books however because of some inferiority complex that Bert Bell who was the commissioner at the time had towards the AAFC they decided to make a very odd exception towards them in not keeping their championship games and records. This was proven when Bell decided to schedule their first ever NFL game against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles in an attempt to embarrass The, former champions of the AAFC however, the Cleveland Browns responded by pounding the NFL’s best team in their first ever game to the tune of 35-10 in Philadelphia. But the Browns weren’t done punishing the NFL for looking down on them just yet they would end their first season in the NFL by winning the 1950 NFL championship which really proved that the superior football was being played in the AAFC but they just ran out of money so do I think that their records and championships matter and should count? 100%
