    I rode my 2004 1600 Mean Streak for 6 hours, Chatham Ontario to Chicago, every month for three years. Stopped half-way for fuel and food. Never a problem, never a hiccup. I loved this bike.

      They’re an excellent bike. Mine just did 5500km in heat that hit 44° at times- that’s 110°F. Never complained, never went wrong. Absolute warrior of a bike.

    Patty here’s the KN filter for this K&N KA-1596 Replacement Air Filter. You will have to call K&N to ship the top Metal piece with it. It doesn’t come stock with the picture of the filter.

    I own a 2008 vulcan meanstreak special edition and have since discovered that they are very rare.
    Good to know there are others and still running.

    I didn't know anything about these bikes but I like it. I love the uninterrupted view you get as a viewer with no screen or big front.

      I noticed that too. The Strom had a lot of crap on the front! The view is a lot better from the Big Tractor!

    This was my first bike I bought that was in the price range and absolutely love this bike. Not crazy expensive like Harley but Man this bike wants to throw you off. I will never trade in or get ride of this one of a kind bike. Kawasaki did this right.

    • @quiethumour9856
      @quiethumour9856 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always shop and shop and shop before I buy. I will spend months comparing bikes before I spend money. The closest Harley at the time of my purchase in 2004 was exactly double the price, $28,.000 Canadian. The Harley lacked liquid cooling, shaft drive, torque, horsepower, hell Kawasaki dependability. Was always fun running into a Harley while cruising. Poor Harley, lost cause, lost money.

    Damn - those empty FNQ open roads look so tempting lol. I retired in Asia 5 years ago and have my little Vulcan cruiser and smaller cafe bike. In the amount of time you'd do a fun cruise up to Cairns - I'd get about 80kms to the other side of my island - if the bikes/tricycle/bus/wildlife/jeepney swarms gtf outta the way ever. Enjoy :)

    Nah because it's an absolutely class bike :) Proper beauty man and it sounds lovely!! Hahaha all of the pulls :D
    Yes yes but cars are created for boredom, the streak was created in order to tests the bonds between rubber and tarmac :D
    Loud exhausts are great, I'm glad you've come around to their virtues. The VN250 vs that bike battle....that'd be interesting.
    Hahaha the perfect reason for buying anything really :D
    Your bike has it's name - Massef. It suits perfectly :P A blend of it being massive, and the tractor :P
    Exhaust sounds proper tasty! Oh very nice new gopro and all :D Looks like an old Triumph engine, not sure if that's a triumph frame, looks to be most of one anyway :)

    I love my Mean Streak but the damn thing hates getting wet, including refusing to start when there's some fog or morning dew after a long night shift even with a cover over it. Not ideal for living in the middle of england but I'm hoping to get my car licence soon so I can get the Kawasaki in the shed and strip it right down to figure out why it's being so temperamental
