Plain Jane premium v8. C/S don’t come in base models or anything under premium package. So you have to pay for those options to even add the C/S option.

Honestly if I found a deal like that I’d hang onto the car. Sadly with the salvage history that is gonna scare of some buyers and it will bring less money. Honestly since you got it that cheap I’d just spend some money on mods and keep it as a weekend car. Doesn’t really matter how many miles you put on it since it would be yours to keep anyways. You could even see if you can take it autocrossing since all it’s Future collectibility is gone with the salvage and flood history. Would be a really fun car to mod and take to places like car shows and everything. That’s what I personally would do with it if it was mine but I’m sure you will find a way to make money and enjoy the car.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!

I worked for a car manufacturer for decades. We had little issue with airbags going off when they shouldn't but 2 things did blow them off: key on impact wrench or air hammer use near the restraint control unit and flood water trapped in restraint control unit months later after that water got murky/rusty. The first risk went down with multiple crash sensors around car but conductive water splashing inside the restraint control unit electrically connecting power to the wrong stuff is dangerous. Some flood caused problems take time to show up when the lubricants fail and/or stuff rusts.

Great to see the success! Retail, it's probably a good mid to high $30's car, simply because it has a voided warranty and the salvage stigma. But if a company buys it, they probably won't offer but $20k something max. CarMax and Carvana only offer salvage value on any car that had a previous salvage history. They offered me $10k for my 16 GT premium PP back in 2017 and again earlier this year. As you demonstrated, insurance could have gotten away with a $2,500 claim, but I'm sure the owner just decided they didn't want it anymore and just totally took advantage of the flood situation. Hopefully it wasn't the insurance company's lack of responsibility that pushed the total. Either way, you should at least break even or make a few dollars on it. Enjoy it Randy!

With a dirty title, and flood history on the CARFAX you'll be hard pressed to find a dealer that'll take that kind of liability in adding it to their inventory for anything close to $25K, because that'll leave them having to find a cash buyer, since very few banks are going to finance something like that.

You get lucky on that one. Good deal if your planning on keeping it. Otherwise you may find it hard to break even with the flood branding on the title. Car prices are slowly coming down. I picked up and awesome 2016 GT premium convertible one owner 21k miles car in July 2022. Clean car fax and also optioned with 19 inch wheels and 4 new premium tires. I figured it like this 58k for a 2022 GT convertible or 36k for a 6 year old car thats like new and had 25 less HP. I added a Roush cold air and will be doing Roush tune and a Ford Performance exhaust. Keeping my mods under the Ford umbrella. Ford considers Roush and Ford Performance as a non modified vehicle. Or it least that was the case when I traded my 2011 5.0 California Special in on a 2010 GT500 which I still own and love! Kudos on your ride!

If you put all that money into it I wouldn't spend any more on it and just keep it and enjoy it and then get rid of it about a year later just to make a profit on it

This should bring the Trolls out from under their Bridge of Knowledge to tell everyone what they don't know anything about. Personally I'd love to hear what the dealers offer you for the Mustang. You have the paperwork to show them what's been done and the Ford dealers findings. I think the offers will be surprisingly high.

With a flood car, it's best to put some miles & time on it before selling; that shows any potential buyer that the car is "normal". Therefore it is your DUTY to do an extremely thorough quality check on this badass mustang.

Don't get me wrong carbon fibre is a great material when it's used properly, but savr some $ and invest in a good quality set of headers and either a dual catback or a nice free-flowing 3" stainless exhaust system with flow Masters on it. Remember, an engine is nothing but a gasoline driven air pump. The easier you can get fresh air in & the faster you can get the exhaust out the more power & performance you"ll get out of it.
