I also have a pair of vinatage ck jeans and they fit from the waist but I'm not a fan of how they fit my small behind and have been wanting a skirt lately. So if I wanted to turn my jeans into a skirt (without the side zipper or resizing) would I just sew the middle around the crotch?
I just tried to do it with one of my paires of trousers... Well, while I was sewing it together, the needle flew away from the sewing machine... It just broke all of sudden... I guess I'm not that good at sewing...

Walmart sells sewing machine needles specifically for denim. I always grab a few packs when I'm there because needles do break! Great job!
