I have done other things like insert another kind of material or the left over leg but i never thought of this and did i ever have the cutest poor is ripped and bejeweled pair to do that too. I have this pair of jeans that are indigo on the back and light blue on the front, they would fit me perfectly on the waist but I can't get them on as the legs are VERY thin and the fabric has no stretch at all. So now I have something to make out of them, THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!!!!

Anyways, I wanted to ask... could you just cut the front panels from the light blue jeans (and seam rip the pockets& belt hoops) without making the light pair into a skirt first? I do like the idea of having the option to create two skirts though, very creative!
