Parkesville Trail Loop, Linkwater, Marlborough, New Zealand, 28 July 24

This is onboard with Finn on his KTM 85, trying out the new trail loop at the Parkseville MX track.
This was the opening day for the new trail loop, so we had to go and check it out.
The main loop (pink arrows) is only about 6km, but is good fun with quite a bit of variety. There are lots of short enduro options (yellow arrows) which mean you can mix up the lap quite a bit each time.
This video is mostly the main loop, riding with Finn, just as the rain started set in about lunchtime.

Hi Ben this kids riding is super impressive i would suggest that maybe slowly direct Finn in doing a few more technical rides on loops that have trails which require a bit more riding skills then once he has that ability he,l be able to handle just about any trail regardless of terrain but he has come a long way and that he must keep it up. Good excellent riding Lad well done. Keep it safe out there.

Thanks Darryl. We have been doing a lot more of the enduro sections lately to build confidence so won't be long and he'll be tackling them all.

Is this open like main mx loop?

I think they are planning on having the trail loop open whenever the MX track has an open day. You could ride ether either or both on the weekend.

@@bentowse sic I was thier in June on a open day for look in my ute while visiting a cob in Havelock,I'm definitely Gona bring the ktms up next time..

hey mate are there any good supercross or mx style tracks around chch or in the south island im sick of the waimak its pretty crap and the jumps are small as i need some whoops and 40ft tables to scrub and train on any info would be sick evens tho our trail riding here might as well ask

Check out the Christchurch Off-Road Motorcycle club, South Canterbury Motorcycle club and North Canterbury motorcycle club. All run good MX events around Christchurch. The Nelson Motorcycle Club has a supercross at the Rat Track in December.
