"NO BANNER!" (or "NO, BANNER!") is a lot more heartbreaking than I remember it being. Maybe because the Hulk is gone now and Bruce is all that remains. Sad that it's never brought up in any of the movies or shows that the Hulk persona basically died when Bruce took permanent control Edit: Okay. Just to clarify, I understand that Hulk and Banner are supposed to be "merged" now, but it doesn't feel that way. Smart Hulk is still acting like Bruce Banner. We ra rarely see any of the "Hulk" persona ever come out. Sure, he's technically part of this "new" personality, but let's be real. It's 95% Banner's mind and 5% Hulk's attitude. I still feel like Hulk got the short end of the deal here. He doesn't really have much control over this situation.
I dont believe it did, I have a feeling Bruce's current state is actually him somehow suppressing Hulk and all that anger he would feel he is bottling. He's in denial and I think Hulk is going to break out at some point and be very very angry.
@@supergario4425 Oh man, I hope that's true. I personally like Smart Hulk, but I would LOVE to see the return of Savage Hulk. Perhaps in a World War Hulk storyline down the road
Fun fact; the reason Hulk gets smarter in Ragnarok is because he has lived longer as the Hulk. In the first avengers he’s just a couple months old, but in Ragnarok he has been the Hulk for long so Hulk has gotten smarter.
I appreciate the MCU giving us Hulk not trying to turn into Banner, instead of the usual other way around. As a big Hulk fan, I never realized I needed a scene like that
Dont you just love how they went straight from this to smart hulk without any explanation on how or if banner was able to combine his two personalities or just somehow forever subdued the hulk.

I wish we got to see a section of Endgame where Hulk and Banner make peace with each-other instead of just jumping straight to smart hulk and treating it as a joke tbh.
I'm kinda hoping that Marvel snaps out of it after phase 4 and stops writing their storylines like the Hulk would, and Smart Hulk will make the decision to revert his transformation, realising that it was wrong to trap Hulk's consciousness in whatever limbo he's in now. Hulk is just the classic Jekyll and Hyde taken to an extreme. Hulk is the Id, and while there's still a fully functioning human brain in his head, it's basically turned off during the transformation. He's not quite a mere animal because all of that stuff is still there, and intact, so it does affect his judgement, but it's essentially completely shelved, otherwise, and Hulk runs entirely off of his limbic system with only minimal perceptual or behavioral modification by the rest of his brain. Because of the radically different experiences accrued by each form, each manifests as a distinct personality. It most probably happens because the nature of the transformation is overwhelming to the neocortex, and it just shuts down as a safety measure, leaving the limbic system to be overwhelmed instead (because it CAN'T shut down...that would mean death) and so Hulk mostly just rampages blindly in the early years. As both forms gain experiences individually, and in dealing with one another (remotely, at least), they both change, and Banner's limbic system adapts to the nature of being the Hulk whenever he transforms. What Banner probably did in the lab to fuse the two together was to carefully moderate the transformation to give his neocortex a chance to assimilate the process without spazing out...and to take the load off the limbic system so that it doesn't haul off and wreck everything. I always took Hulk and Banner as the older brother, younger brother, relationship. Bruce is older, more experienced and more mature, while Hulk is the younger more voilent brother. Like any toddler, Hulk runs around breaking and yelling at anything that drives him. And Bruce has little to no control, and they hate each other. Hulk doesn't understand the situation yet, because he is new to the world, and gains anger toward what he blames for his situation. The only thing that calms Hulk is love, similar to a mother's love. Over time, they begin to mature and understand eachother. Thus becoming more like twin brothers.

WOW THEY REALLY FUCKED THE HULK UP! Even the dynamic between Natalie and Bruce changed because the writing went off in such a weird direction. IMO: (2008) The Incredible Hulk was the most accurate rendition of the Hulk.
You need to realize that the MCU isn't the only way to experience these characters. They did not ruin the Hulk. They ruined the MCU's hulk. Ruffalo's hulk. You have alllll the comics, shows, and animated movies in the world to check out. Don't waste your time getting upset over comic book movies. Because if trivial things like this upset you, then god knows how many things make you absolutely miserable.
@@sarahbelle81 You’re missing the point. We may have all the other versions of hulk in comics, animated series etc but Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is the main one right now, they’re literally just taking him a whole different way from what we actually want to see.
F Hulk, the last moment he had his conscience, desire and personality was in Thor Ragnarok. After that he was brutally killed by Banner (off screen) in the transition to Endgame
I wish Hulk came out during Endgame when Banner needed strength to survive the snap. Something like Hulk almost takes over because the gauntlets power was fueling his rage.
The fact that Hulk had a consciousness of own and captured Bruce inside him is too dangerous, Bruce rightfully merged his brain with Hulk's body otherwise it would have been a disaster for him!
Best design of Hulk. They should remake the old Hulk movies into this version. And in the She Hulk series they should use the Hulks aggressive voice instead of the actor.
Mm, it's not so much that hulk doesn't realize he's also Bruce, rather, Bruce's alternate personalities are colliding. With other Hulks, such as Red Hulk or She-Hulk, when they transform, they don't lose any sense of who or what they are, they largely stay the same. With Bruce however, he has psychological trauma from domestic abuse, and has developed DID, but his second personality only ever shows whenever he transforms.
With Disney Incorporated, men are not allowed to suffer or express their suffering. Because 9 times out of 10, the women will be so much stronger than them because they have suffered so much more than them.
Ragnarok was so heartbreaking because all that The Hulk wanted was to be loved and adored, he was worshipped as a champion on Sakaar, meanwhile on Earth he was vilified and viewed as a threat, that's most likely why he stayed in that form for so long, because he finally felt safe and accepted.
The gun was probably created in case Thawne attacks again. Or even just another speedster. Think about it: Thawne, Zoom, Savitar, the rival, and Godspeed. The team gets threatened by evil Speedsters ALOT. especially Iris. It makes sense after seeing Iris “ die” last season because of Thawne that Barry would want to take extra steps to protect her when he’s not there. They’re planning to build a family after all, so his motivation is even stronger
Mark Ruffalo is Hulk and i get it people hate Professor Hulk but that's just a phase, people cry when Hulk goes full on wimp but again that's just Hulk being a dick with Banner. It just shows people don't know Hulk at all, this portray of Hulk with Ruffalo is brilliant, we're seeing different forms but the beast will return.
I feel like if at the moment smart hulk (which is basically just Bruce) snapped then Hulk came out fully for the remainder of Endgame it would've been amazing, you could bs an explanation with the snap being so dangerous that the physical and mental toll caused Hulk to come out to ensure the snap doesn't kill them
No, Banner is really heartbreaking bc hulk was protecting Bruce and it’s honestly not hulks fault he saw that the planet could be dangerous and he helped out
Black Widow helps calm the Hulk down after the battle to ensure he doesn't accidentally hurt anyone else, and later consoles Bruce when he's worried about the casualties, silently scolding Thor for making him feel worse. Bruce Banner would continue to go on several missions with the Avengers as Hulk, and he and Nat created a method to calm Hulk down and reverse him into Banner by using a lullaby.
They had something going with Bruce’s internal conflict with the Hulk Dude flat out refused to come out in Infinity War where everyone might’ve needed him most, and it’s resolved off-screen by the time for Endgame I would’ve liked to see how Bruce and Hulk made up with each other to become Professor Hulk
Psychiatrist doc Samson captures the hulk and physically separates hulk and bruce banner. Their individual molecular structures began to destabilize so the vision helped Samson reunite them.
I don't really understand why Hulk would agree to merge with Banner. Like Smart hulk has Bruce's brains while he has Hulk's body. Hulk doesn't get to exist pretty much.
I wonder if Savage hulk is aware of, or even truly understands, that Nat is dead. Nat and Valkyrie are the only 2 people hulk seemed to truly connect with, and would never hurt.
theres a great story about ego and super ego and personality disorder and self hate that we just never gona get what did we get was his cousin twrkin so great job disney
I think in Ragnarok, after Hulk looked at Nat in the holocom thing, she kinda immediately trigger Banner within Hulk, and Banner was like "FUCK YOU HULK, I'M TAKING OVER MY HUMAN ASS!!"
Respectfully, this is not Hulk realising he is Banner ... this is a post hypnotic suggestion using a tactile mindfulness technique; and because of Banners 'relationship' with Widow the 'rage' still recognises her on an emotional level and why/how she gets the opportunity to start the PHS
I think the reason black widow can calm Hulk is because she isn't trying to fight him, she talks to him calmly and it seems to confuse him a little. like if you came across a wild animal you don't want to scare it or be aggressive, hand low and speak calmly.
It's been years since Age of Ultron and I'm still sooo curious to what Wanda did to Banner, then 1:07 Hulk was just like "Woah I'm here, when did I get here?" He looked like a confused baby or even a wild animal. I just die inside everytime I watch this part

Hulk has been repressed for over 5 years now, when he finally breaks out... it's gonna get rough.
and rightfully soo I cant wait to see him decimate everyone for treating him like a thoughtless sentientless disease, banner is a huge asshole for lying to us and himself about working things out with him. His smug ass fake smile goofey knowitall face did him dirty i know it.
He's definitely gonna be raging
Tbf, he did the same with Banner before for 3 years
In fairness Hulk wasn’t really “repressed” he was combined with Bruce’s personality
When he splits he’s gonna be raging though 😂
If I could give a hug to The Hulk and Bruce Banner at the same time and have them realize it I would. Hulk need not fear for he always has Mr. Banner always near.
banner doesn't see it that way yet he treats him like a disease.
Even thor gets concerned when hulk is transforming back to bruce. Like this nih crazy😂
@@sarahbelle81 Wow. What an incredibly out-of-touch thing to say.
@@sarahbelle81 You’re missing the point. We may have all the other versions of hulk in comics, animated series etc but Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is the main one right now, they’re literally just taking him a whole different way from what we actually want to see.
@@sarahbelle81 touch grass. it’s not that deep
@@kirby4815162342 i agree
That was me in my teenage years when my crush used to touch my hand.
Mark Ruffalo has perfect Hulk face. The others were too, eh, cute.
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was originally the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
@@ricardoortiz4960interesting!
…2008 Hulk was cute?
the plane scene in ragnarok is really sad because you can see hulk dont want to go back into hiding
Poor Bruce has never been in control of his anger. Along with a split personality and no full memory of what the Hulk does. Wow.
Hulk doesn't 'realize' he's Banner - he doesn't want to let Banner back.
2:42 sun's going down 🤣🤣
F Hulk, the last moment he had his conscience, desire and personality was in Thor Ragnarok. After that he was brutally killed by Banner (off screen) in the transition to Endgame
Hulk just wanna be free
great scene man, amazing animation work on the hulks facial expression. maybe the only scene where we genuinely feel sympathy for The Hulk, not Bruce.
Black widow: hey big guy the sun is getting low hulk: ok
This is another one of those situations where a person takes a snippet out of the movie and makes a title for it without understanding the character
i GoT cAtCaLlEd oN a sTrEet
I still remember the look on Bannner's face when he found out Jen didn't have the same problems like he had in She Hulk.
Don't let this put aside what she-hulk is going through, all those mansplaining and cat calling hmmpph.
I love the scene where Banner says "oh no, it is Hulkin time again !!!" before the monster takes control.
I wish Hulk came out during Endgame when Banner needed strength to survive the snap. Something like Hulk almost takes over because the gauntlets power was fueling his rage.
The hulk transformation is getting insaneeee
I think the Hulk is a bigger reflection of Bruce's feelings. what he feels, the Hulk shows❤
The fact that Hulk had a consciousness of own and captured Bruce inside him is too dangerous, Bruce rightfully merged his brain with Hulk's body otherwise it would have been a disaster for him!
I love it
They really do need to make a good World War Hulk movie.
There are rumors of a world war hulk movie coming soon
Best design of Hulk. They should remake the old Hulk movies into this version. And in the She Hulk series they should use the Hulks aggressive voice instead of the actor.
2008 design is better
Hulks voice and banners voice are different proffesser hulls mind is Bruce banner so he have his voice
@@ninjanibba4259 That's the pretty hulk.
@@Balinux there's nothing pretty about the Hulk, what is this comment?
@@ninjanibba4259btw mark's hulk and ed's hulk are the same
Mm, it's not so much that hulk doesn't realize he's also Bruce, rather, Bruce's alternate personalities are colliding.
The way Thor looks at Hulk in the plane scene
No one loves hulk..
That's the realization,, which leads him to more anger
"I WENT THROUGH SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU AND I CONTROL MY ANGER INFINITELY MORE THAN YOU" the mcu is dead, and they have killed it
With Disney Incorporated, men are not allowed to suffer or express their suffering.
The best Thor movie thus far
That sad at the end
That sad roar hulk did. No banner!😭
damn no wonder he fell in love with her
This Hulk looks a lot better than Soy Hulk.
Hulk woulda torn through that spaceship
I miss this hulk
*Hulk realising he's woke actor Mark Ruffalo*
"Hulk... Sad..."
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was originally the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
@@ricardoortiz4960 And unfortunately got rid of Edward Norton in favor of this freak instead
@@MrOrcshaman Norton “was” a PITA (pain in the a$$) to work with.
BRUCE BANNErR AND BLACK WIDOW
Russo Bros be like: let’s abandon this completely.
I kinda don't like how hulk is more of a different entity or person... I liked the 2003 version better where it's still all him, but the real version.
You gotta wonder if Bruce would've smashed... would he be like yeah, I'm good
this shit goes hard
Current MCU is never gonna let Hulk shine...
They'd rather make She-Hulk season 2 😭
That must suck for Hulk and Banner. To both just blink out for years like they're dead and waking up not knowing what's going on.
Hulk's best medicine is the kitty!!!!
That was the two years he told his cousin Jennifer/She-Hulk about when he said he had been “the other guy” for two years.
I don’t think I could hulk out for two years 😂
I saw this in a different channel, it went differently. Hulk smiled then he proceeded to smash.
Damn that was a struggle and all but hey he should be glad he didn't get cat called
What.
I thought the hulk bs was done with a LONG LONG LONG TIME AGO.
2:15
I feel like if at the moment smart hulk (which is basically just Bruce) snapped then Hulk came out fully for the remainder of Endgame it would've been amazing, you could bs an explanation with the snap being so dangerous that the physical and mental toll caused Hulk to come out to ensure the snap doesn't kill them
No, Banner is really heartbreaking bc hulk was protecting Bruce and it’s honestly not hulks fault he saw that the planet could be dangerous and he helped out
“Suns getting real low “ lol that’s so corny man
i thought I was the only one lmao
but dont forget, she hulk gets cat called so shes got more anger than he ever will....
They had something going with Bruce’s internal conflict with the Hulk
Dude flat out refused to come out in Infinity War where everyone might’ve needed him most, and it’s resolved off-screen by the time for Endgame
I would’ve liked to see how Bruce and Hulk made up with each other to become Professor Hulk
A machine 🤣
Thank you and God bless....
Betty Ross can calm the Hulk down to turn back into Bruce Banner.
Psychiatrist doc Samson captures the hulk and physically separates hulk and bruce banner. Their individual molecular structures began to destabilize so the vision helped Samson reunite them.
We need more things like that scene from Ragnarok! Have humor but offset it with emotional beats for characters
When true love has a hold of you
I don't really understand why Hulk would agree to merge with Banner. Like Smart hulk has Bruce's brains while he has Hulk's body. Hulk doesn't get to exist pretty much.
2:37 i always lol when Thor always say "the suns going down" through the movie as if it's some magic words that keeps banner from being Hulk
That was funny 😄
I wonder if Savage hulk is aware of, or even truly understands, that Nat is dead. Nat and Valkyrie are the only 2 people hulk seemed to truly connect with, and would never hurt.
theres a great story about ego and super ego and personality disorder and self hate that we just never gona get
what did we get was his cousin twrkin so great job disney
2:00 is he saying Nat?
Be did say Nat before turning back into Bruce. I thought I was the only one who heard it.
I miss marvel... the way it used to be :(
I think in Ragnarok, after Hulk looked at Nat in the holocom thing, she kinda immediately trigger Banner within Hulk, and Banner was like "FUCK YOU HULK, I'M TAKING OVER MY HUMAN ASS!!"
I need some of those pants.
We literally see him have a convo with
Respectfully, this is not Hulk realising he is Banner ... this is a post hypnotic suggestion using a tactile mindfulness technique; and because of Banners 'relationship' with Widow the 'rage' still recognises her on an emotional level and why/how she gets the opportunity to start the PHS
PTSD 🤣
I think the reason black widow can calm Hulk is because she isn't trying to fight him, she talks to him calmly and it seems to confuse him a little. like if you came across a wild animal you don't want to scare it or be aggressive, hand low and speak calmly.
His personas did actually merge and he is now Professor Hulk in the last two movies.
that is officially her greatest power 🔋
waking up is no pleasure cruise thats for sure
It's been years since Age of Ultron and I'm still sooo curious to what Wanda did to Banner, then 1:07 Hulk was just like "Woah I'm here, when did I get here?" He looked like a confused baby or even a wild animal. I just die inside everytime I watch this part
