I wasn't able to back up my mac. I have OS X reinstalled through an external hard drive. I'm wondering if there's a way to recover files from the disk that was having issues or if its too late.

Had a grey screen with a circle with a line through it after Mojave update. Used this method and back running again and kept all my data. Will back up my system before downloading another update. Thank you.

Hi I got an question I put all my pictures on the usb but when nog you see img but not the small picture pictogram some do but soms don’t the first time all the pictures where showing in small but now u you see img but when u click on them u see the picture but now I have to click them individually to see witch picture I’m clicking how can I fix this also on Mac

i have a problem theres no disk showing for me to install the macOS what should i do ?
I have a 2010 MacBook Pro 15 inch and it don't pass the first step that you did I see the little line going all the way to halfway and then stops any idea on what can I do
Please help my iMac has been stuck on internet recovery mode for 24 hours hardly moved a inch my internet isn’t the best so how can I stop the internet recovery which was via my time
Capsule then just install osx from the options menu as my fans on the iMac have been on for this length of time 😮also
My problem is similar but I am unable to back up my hard drive because the Apple logo just pops up and begins unsuccessfully loading that MAC OS update. Once it's done I receive an error message. Also I have to log in before the Apple logo begins loading. I will try but I was just wondering if this makes a difference.

Hi Sir, tried everything but after using shift + options + command + r, and the globe appears, and that one has "finished", it takes 5 min, then the laptop restarts and gives me a circle with a line in the middle. like there is nothing i can do. After clicking on agree I don't have the HD icon to click on that you show on your video. There is no option available to choose the HD to continue the install.

Hi, I just ran across your video after watching a plethora of other videos in trying to fix my Mac. I recently updated to Monterey and realized that I just ruined my music making abilities. So I tried to restore my Mac from an earlier point in time machine which looked but once the computer started over, being on the Apple logo for a few mins it just shuts down. So I tried your method but once the computer installs the OS that it came with. I get an error message and it asked me to do it again. I’ve done this several times but no luck. Any suggestions?? I’m dying here.

I need help for my Macbookpro 15inch 2017
I tried to fully reset my MacBook Pro and erased everything without any backups. When I turn on in Recovery mode it keeps taking me to the globe icon to connect to the the internet so it can install MacOS via online. But it keeps failing and tells me to go to Apple support which nothing is available right now, i think it can’t find a utility disk or anything to start it up now
I don’t know if you still have this problem but, I had the same problem until minutes ago! the thing that work out for me was changing the internet connection and clicking on the “internet recovery” button, then it finally loaded and I could download macOS and restored to factory settings :)

Hi Charlotte, I am sorry for what happened.
First can you please try resetting NVRAM: th-cam.com/video/lCmFgSQUh1U/w-d-xo.html
Then Reset SMC: support.apple.com/en-au/HT201295
You can also diagnose your Mac and see if it shows any problems (support.apple.com/en-au/HT202731)
Then check if it works.
If not, try to open the MacBook in Safe mode (support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mac-help/mh21245/mac), if it opens then backup all the data in an external hard drive.
If it didn’t work, open the MacBook in Recovery Mode (support.apple.com/en-au/HT201314) and click on “Disk Utility” then Select your Disk and Click on First Aid.
If still not working, Try reinstalling the MacOS (support.apple.com/en-au/HT204904) (if you have data in the mac and don’t have backup, don’t erase while installing the mac)
If it still didn’t work and If the laptop is still under warranty, it is best to contact Apple Support (support.apple.com/en-au/contact) and they will help you.

I tried all of that but it’s not working. It keeps asking to log into my iCloud but it says my password is wrong which it isn’t. (Since I keep getting a verification code on my iPhone) what do I do
Your steps are working magic for me, the only this is that my mouse is not connecting so I can drag my cursor around it’s stuck in the top left corner. Only my TAB and SPACE button are working and the arrows. I am unable to do anything else.
First try different ports to connect the mouse, then check if the sensor is blocked with something.
If didn’t work, try the key combination Command+Option+Esc to bring up the Force Quit window.
Use the up or down arrow keys to select Finder and then the Enter key to relaunch the Finder. See if that will unfreeze the mouse.
If that didn’t work, restart your computer pressing Control, Command and Eject/power keys, to discard that the computer is frozen.
If it doesn't work, hold the Power button of your computer until it turns off, and turn it on.

Dumb question, I by mistake restored the whole disk and can’t get Apple logo or anything, all I see is the file folder. Any ideas on how to fix that and also how to upgrade it from El Capitan to say Monterey?
