If I purchase all this will I be able to adjust abuse mode I'm having a loss of rpms dropping after 2k rpms while holding my pedal to the floor .i've had my vats rear 02s, speed limiter egr and Transmission sensors disabled looking for options before I send my ecm/p59 back out to get checked
If your OSID doesn't have a an XDF. Save a back up and flash a different OSID on it that is supported.

i bought a obdlink mx+ and it connects but wont read pcm ,theres a question mark beside read pcm, what could be the problem. made bench hookup
LS droid has been having issues with obd links lately try pcm hammer. if PCM hammer works than you know ls droid was the issue.
so if I am taking a PCM from a junkyard 5.3 to put into my 4.8 do I need to worry about the XDF, or just change the VIN?
DXF isn't what you need to worry about but you do need a 5.3 bin. the VE tables and a other things are going to be different.
What do I need to setup a test workbench? I’ve got a stock body harness and ecu I want to delete vats on, do I just need to give the ecu 12 volts and read the file to my phone?
You don't have to you can do it all in the truck/car. If you want to do it on the bench I did a video on making a bench harness.
Fixed Until Broken I see, my motor is completely torn down for a rebuild, so I should be able to just supply the ecu 12v and a ground, and ignore the other wires, shouldn’t I?
yes that should work I don't see why it wouldn't other than you will also have to to give power to the obd2 port to power the dongle unless its a shared 12+ I don't have the diagram pulled up.

Have you ever had the problem where the maps come out all jumbled? I don't have the rev range on the one scale and the increments on the other. Do you know why this could be?
Normally that's just miss matched xdf to bin

@@gemininyte279 I'd recommend trying gearhead efi forum. Your going need to download the right xdf and I don't have all of them to email

So will tunerpro work for things like a 5.7 vortec ECU? Or does it have to be LS engine related if that makes sense 😂
It will work for anything you can find a dxf for. I know you can do the old OBD1 5.7 stuff like a TBI but those spider injected "vortec" systems are a pia to maintain. I've never seen a way to tune those but I have also never looked for a way to tune them because everyone just LS swaps that out lol
So what I'm doing is I'm turning my Long block 350 into a vortec engine. I bought the wiring harness and the intake manifold as well as the heads. I'm not necessarily trying to tune the engine I'm trying to see if I can disable things like the transmission control or the EGR. Because I'm not sure the engine will run on a stand with that stuff not connecting to the harness
I know that sounds ridiculous and lost of people have told me to just buy a kit but I'm not interested in spending 2000$ on a kit that I can't tune or control if that makes sense lol
@@lt.schlechtnacht9414 microsquirt is what i have usa made n failry cheap options are wide open unlike big box stuff .or a SPEEDUINO ecu uis good and cheap like they should be .on can use a tablet as a dash with megasquirt to i think speeduino to same tuning software anyhow

Will do. You gotta try EFI once you learn you will never turn back. Tons of options too megasquirt if you want to go full DIY Holly kits if you want something that just works or tuning stock stuff if you want in-between. Even HP tuners if a fair price it's about the same price as a high end carb.

New ones of the obdlink (the one I am using) is glitchy with current versions of lsdroid. If you plan on using lsdroid I recommend getting the tool that pete made(the guy who makes lsdroid). If you want to use pcmhammer instead go for the obdlink

You mean your bin off the PCM? The easy way lsdroid or PCMHammer.

Downside to tunerpro as there is no real easy way to datalog with it. With a P01 / P59 is to turn on/off things like VATS fans etc
Most people data log with torque and a wideband. I personally don't do street tunes or Dyno tunes I use it for setting the vin or vats when someone needs a new pcm you can do a lot of other things like e fans, speed governor, transmission shift pressure so on. If you want to find another way to data log you can do trims and such just not my wheelhouse
@@FixedUntilBroken agreed. Also good for speedo corrections for tire size and rear end gear ratio changes, turning off MIL light for certain codes. Having tried tunerpro myself not that long ago something I had to figure out on my own on the datalogging so figured I'd share with the others that are newer than me.
@@DanMcD80 agreed. What did you end up using for datalogs? Torque and stand alone wideband is what I have been seeing people do .
@@FixedUntilBroken not knowing you could connect a wideband to torque (till just now) I bit the bullet and bought HPTuners lol
I guess you could add one to torque but I meant doing them separately but at the same time. Like one of the stand alone wideband with datalog and torque running at the same time
Is PS160 still PS160? I want to buy his dongle since he put in the work to f' the money grabbers, and thank him properly, but, I cant find his info.

You will have to give more details I've had zero issues.
Fixed Until Broken I went back and done some more stuff to my ecm. I now have fuel and ignition, it’s booming and popping however still not starting. I can now hear the fuel pump being commanding to run by the ecm for two seconds key on, then off then runs again when cranking. Seems like after about 7 months messing with this all I needed was to vent a little pre pubescent like discomfort on youtube. Finally feel like I’m getting somewhere
Im glad getting your frustration out helped you focus. These tools are pretty solid just doesn't hold you hand like some of the more main stream stuff.
