This does work! JR brought this to my attention with the first release of this video. I have since bought the required obdlink adapter and tried it out. My observations are that this is not for everyone, it is experimental software that is still evolving.
I found LsDroid to be a great program for reading, writing, and cloning gen 3 pcms. It can now even do segment swapping. I have used it to clone a pcm I had already tuned with HPT to use in a mates LS conversion, it worked great and cost nothing! (for those wanting to know you can’t clone a hpt custom os tune)
Tuner pro requires XDF files for each pcm os you wish to tune, at the moment there are only a couple of these available severely limiting the pcms you can tune.
Also as JR says at the end of the video you can not flash the pcm when it is in the car, if there are other units talking on the serial data bus, or if your battery voltage dips down too low, you will almost certainly brick your pcm! A well built bench flashing setup is required. This makes tuning with tunerpro time consuming as you can not flash changes without taking the pcm out of the vehicle.
For tuning my opinion is HPT or EfiLive are still the best options. I don’t like handing my hard earned $$$ to these companies but sometimes it is necessary to get the job done.

If you push and hold your finger on the Bluetooth icon on any Android it will bring up the Bluetooth menu:) works for the wifi too

I believe they are recoverable just have to open the pcms up pull the eeprom and flash it with like a tl866 or something
You can also short one of the header pins to ground.
I had been using the 2.0 and not bricking any. But it made me upgrade and I have bricked 2. I haven't changed anything

Duude I need help. I am in the process of building a 5.3 lm7 for my caprice wagon. I want to do cam and springs. Do I just Google sloppy stage 2 cam and pac 12 18 springs and let it RIP? Or is there more to it then that?

Obdlink is hardware, not software, look in the description

My problem is the device registration. Do you need to have Bluetooth connected and plugged into your obd2 port for it to register?

Hey man I went ahead and bought all that shit went and got an ECM out of the junkyard and I can't get it to work man did they put a stop to it already or did I just get a bad oddlink lx ? Thank you in advance for your advice
I just used it last week and it was working fine

Can anyone tell me what bin and xdf mean? Never tuned before just curious to see how they do it.
Bin is the file type for the tune on the PCM.
XDF is the interface to tune in Tunerpro
