Asshole other groomer probably hit him with the clippers, or he jumped into the clippers or scissors. Yeah, riiiiight..."We don't know what happened". They sure as hell know exactly what happened to that sweet baby! You are a blessing to animals and pet parents DeDe!
The blow dryer they use is really strong probably got air into the eye I used to be a dog bather and if you put the blow dryer against your skin it makes your skin have an indent
I have watched a few of you videos aand am impressed by how patient and kind you are to your little customer. I also like your directness with the owners, it is just like a physician who has to tell the truth to their patents.

I so wish you lived close to me! My little Sasha is such a good Border Collie Princess. She is very passive, but every time she goes to the groomer she's scared to death. There was only 1 groomer that she wasn't scared of but unfortunately she retired!

For a puppy and his first time with you, he did such a good job! I'm also happy the owner was doing a decent at home brushing which made it easier on you, but also the puppy. It sucks when a puppy comes in horribly matted and has a bad time at the groomers.

I never heard of black eye!, I will be looking it up. But I would not be going back there I hope you got a big tip for this great job. I think all dog groomers should have cameras set up so you can watch your dog all the time same with boarders 24 hour cameras. Great job DeDe. ❤️❤️❤️ I cant believe people don’t notice their puppy has double teeth when I groom my dog I also go over every inch of my dog from head to the tip of their tail. Lot of owners should be watching for botfly lava .

@@susanwhitton6372 There are, but they're pretty rare, and most common in southern/swampy areas, like southern Florida. They're more common in Africa and South America, and they're disgusssttinnnggg.

what a good puppy.. I have a 1yr old Chorkie (more yorkie) and everyday I use the comb on him, my groomer said that just under his frontlegs had tiny mats from his harness. I have it on him from about 6am to 8pm because I walk him almost every two hours because I'm in an apartment. I did notice his last cut wasn't very good like he looked like he was already 3 weeks after his cut the next day. I've been watching groomer video's since the day we got him at 6weeks
They get fungi in the ears as it is a dark moist area . Esp. Troublesome with matted hair at the ears no air getting in . You are so good wish you were here❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My yorkie never had an ear infection until my groomer I was using cut her ears short, she had butterfly ear hair, I’m now grooming her myself and letting her hair grow back out on her ears. She told me long hair would break down her ear cartilage, not true on a 6 year old dog.

I know just what you mean by being firm and straight forward especially with first time customers. If you are mealy mouthed or hesitant people might think you don't know what you are doing, or might take advantage of you. Straight forward and firm makes it easier to deal with people.

How well behaved he is! Towards the quiet part where you were just trimming him up, it was almost like an ASMR video with the soft snips of the scissors lol. Got me nice and relaxed as a result hah. Must be nice and cathartic when dogs are calm and still like that.

The scissors sound plus the singing was such a *welcomed* and pleasant surprise. It was completely relaxing, with a tinge of stress that the buzzibgbfrom the clippers would come back. Man, I wish there was a silent clippers. Tyson -- I challenge you.

I just want to say thank you for your videos! I wanting to get a Yorkie or Morkie, and been looking at their grooming requirements. These videos have enlightened me on a new level understanding more of grooming aspects of dogs. So right now I’m getting everything I need for this little puppy before he comes home! I found the brushes, combs, some hair scissors that have the bubble tip. I plan on working with him every day, and leash training. Also coming with special words depending on what I’m grooming, example: face so the dog can beware of my intentions as well. Or a basic command such as up, etc.
Wow the little puppy did really good and he looks very happy now with his good grooming I have 3 Yorkies and they love going to have their wash and hair cut... My eldest is 8 years old my next is a six month and he had his first groom at 4 months old and he was sooo good and my third puppy is 4 months old and they really do love looking good and I brush them daily happy out though and that is the secret to having happy Yorkies They have a sense of feeling good when they are washed and groomed regularly too
So true. My yorkie seemed to enjoy her bathes. And boy did she prance around like a little princess after her "blow out". As she got older, I kept her in a "puppy cut" because it was so much easier to brush ad comb and took way less time each day ......and easier on her. She didn't care how long her hair was.
Yeah mine hates the experience of a bath, but once she's done she is the happiest girl ever. She loves rolling and rubbing herself on the towel when I'm drying her.

I've used the same groomer for years. Cameras - They don't use cameras and trust the woman who does the grooming. She's been doing it for about 30 years. She used to groom our other sheltie. I did learn something about ear infections. Hubby asked me to bath our dog and I have bathed dogs in the past. A few weeks later she ended up with an ear infection. Continuous scratching of the ears and flipping of the head. We brought her into the vet and confirmed it. When I informed them about giving her a bath I was told that getting the ears wet can give the dog an infection.

I don't know how I got onto this channel as I don't plan on ever being a groomer nor do I own a dog, but this channel has some good information for people wanting to get into the business. You give some really good advice on why you should record everything and the negatives that come with the job (aggressive pets). I'm guessing a lot of people who end up failing in the first year of grooming don't consider what they would do with aggressive pets. They probably think all of them (or the vast majority) will sit there and let the process happen without too much fuss (maybe a bit of movement). That was my impression at least.

aww. my yorkie had ear infections when he was little too. luckily i caught it quite early as I noticed him scratching them excessively, and he happened to be getting his vaccinations at that time so I asked about it. it kept coming back for a while but he's happy and healthy now

he's adorable, you do such a great job! MY YORKIE HAD DOUBLE TEETH WHEN I GOT HER oops sorry didn't realize caps were on lol anyway the vet had to pull 13 teeth but at least she can eat and seems so much happier.

Those baby teeth could be part of the issue with ear pain too.

A lot of dogs are shivering when standing on the table. Dede is so calm, so anybody who knows why they do that? Is it stress, fear (of something that has happened before) or something else?

Fear and anxiety of the entire new environment, sounds, strangers, having a rope taunt around the neck, coupled with uncomfortability and occasional pain; there is also the fear of heights for little dogs such as this Yorkie.

To those who say an ear infection or drops can’t cause matting, please think again.
The poor dog is in pain and although they might like their ears cleaned normally they now don’t. It takes a long time for the memory of pain to go. And yes pain is a memory. So normally pup would love to be brushed in these places and are suddenly sensitive and sore and scared to be touched.
Also the war drops are thick and do come from the ear to the surrounding hair causing matting.
And let’s not forget the poor pup scratching and matting the fur.
Please be patient, kind and understanding
