I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Winnie is the 'oldest' person in that family. I love how she always puts on a nice dress when she knows Troy is coming. She clearly adores him. I know she was very excited when told she was going to the toy shop (at last) but I thought she was going to burst with ecstacy when Troy highlighted she deserved it because she was the person who brought all this good fortune to her family by bringing Troy to them. The problem with giving it to them at their house is that there is absolutely NO privacy in their homes. True, but her character is such that she will contiue to work while studying. I think this is what the donor recognize in her. This gift will allow her to study well with less pressure as her course is quite an expensive one - and also when she is at uni the family does not have the income she would bring if she was working full time - but in the long term she can be trusted to support Win through University and keep her mother comfortably in old age. I can reassure you there is nothing untoward in the motive behind such a donation. He is repaying a debt of honour to a dead uncle who helped him get the education that lifted him and his future family out of the treadmill of poverty. Good thoughts. I know Taffy. I introduced him to Troy's channel. He is a man of great integrity and has donated to others of Troy's family, not just Ngan. (As well as many others around the world). I can reassure you there is nothing untoward in the motive behind such a donation. He is repaying a debt of honour to a dead uncle who helped him get the education that lifted him and his future family out of the treadmill of poverty. The uncle would never allowed Taffy to tell of his kindness. This is simply honouring and continuing that uncle's legacy.

Poor Ngan - she was blown away when she saw just the 60 mill - she looked as if she was afraid her hands would melt if she touched it, and then when Troy brought out the rest. She did an excellent job of controlling her emotions. I expect she didn't sleep much that night!
Winnie doesn't really understand the enormity of what her welcoming Troy has just done for her family. I loved how Winnie kept going up on her tip toes so she could see over the counter and check that the shop girls were really packing the toys she had chosen into the bags for her to really take home with her. Her dream has come true at last! She is just happy to have some toys at long last. She probably didn't sleep much either because she would be checking out her toys to see if the are still real or part of a dream.
I think tomorrow the world will seem a very different place to the whole family.

I have never seen such a big donation nor have such a big sum of money in my pocket. It is a life-time of savings for many people. Probably the biggest donation on TH-cam. Hope it is kept in a bank to pay the 4 years of university fees . I had thought the gift of the motorbike was the biggest donation, and now this. A generous person indeed, Taffy. She has to look after the bike as if her dear life depends on it since stealing these machines is quite rampant in Vietnam. With a special key and in less than a couple of minutes, the thief is riding off with someone's prized possession. The thieves make it so simple.

Yes. Part of the deal I believe is the express hope that Ngan will safeguard Win's education and as a working teacher have the means to put Win through university. I for one am convinced she can trusted to do it as it is her natural instinct anyway.

Winnie's condition could be Dupuytren Contracture syndrome. For milder cases it is treatable through enzyme injections and corticosteroids. There is some indication that it is autoimmunity related. There is a drug called leronlimab currently in trials for COVID-19 but whose metier is inflammation and autoimmunity. When it becomes available in Vietnam it would be a viable treatment option.
It's not dupuytrens, it is macrodactyly. The only treatment option is surgery.
@@markturner4219 If the cause is neurofibromas there is a drug called koselugo that controls it through the downregulation of the MEK kinase. Leronlimab is also a MEK inhibitor. If the cause is tuberous sclerosis complex leronlimab can help by downregulating the mTOR pathway. Any other cause surgery would be needed.
@@autodafe20 Yes. I know. I'm a medic. The problem is that the state funded hospitals are under resourced and so amputation is their default position. She needs the funding to go to one of the well equiped 'international' private hospitals in Saigon.
