    Just got my 2024 Limited in blue last week. Love it! Had a 2022 SEL Activity in white, FWD. Loved that one too! It served me very well over the last 3 years. I wanted to step up to the AWD turbo, the nicer interior with all the bells and whistles, and LED headlights. The dealer had one in blue (favorite color) and made me an offer I just couldn't refuse! (I'm sure the end of the month, end of the quarter, and the fact that the 2025 redesign models will be coming soon probably contributed to the great offer!)

    Did they correct the issue with that DCT on the Turbo version???

    I purchased the LTD SC2024. I tote more stuff (arts and crafts) than people. I drive in normal mode. The engine lags. I am in my late 60s so this doesn’t bother me. I traded a 2014 Subaru. All the driving assistance and Bluetooth sold me on the Hyundai. So far so good.

    I purchased my 2024 AWD, Turbo a month ago and absolutely love it. I drove it back from Florida to Rhode Island and got a good feel for it on the highways. A little adjustment to all the features, but every day, I learn more, especially the BlueLink. That is a wonderful feature, for sure. I bought the white with detailed pinstripe, I do have the tow package, and the stitching is all black inside. I'm short (4' 10", so I have enough space in the back seats for passengers or storage. My former vehicle was the Kia Optima, which was donated. 😀😊

      @@JustaKarenDiscoveredTheIntrnet I love it and I'm seeing more and more of them. The Atlas White is a treasure, because this color is not as common as all the other colors. I get a lot of head turning. I just love the "snow" mode and AWD function, which helped me out this past winter. It gives a wonderful and smooth ride. Test drive one if you can!

      @@JustaKarenDiscoveredTheIntrnet I love the stunning look, and I'm seeing more and more of them as I pass through the states. White seems to be the sought after color as there are were not many that I've seen since I purchased mine. Lately, white is starting to appear. Thanks so much for the question.

    I don’t get the comments when people complaining about pricy cars and etc? In ur town the lots are full with new vehicles? My high schooler learning supply and demand micro economics. It is easy for me to help him in understanding how it works as he sees all with his own eyes. I also suspect that manufacturers are on a mission to push EV,s. Especially with current government in charge of the country there is no surprise. If u still expect that all will be back to normal, to pre pandemic time, u live on another planet then

    I have a Limited and enjoy driving it. An aggravating design flaw is no sunglasses storage. Not a big deal unless you find that annoying and I do. Also I have a low level of confidence in the jerky transmission.

    Does the limited with turbo still have the DCT? Dealer says it doesn't. It a normal automatic unlike last year

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Every vehicle with the 2.5T still has the 8 speed DCT. The Kona with the 1.6T gets the 8 speed regular automatic for it's new generation. So that means the Santa Cruz Night, XRT, and Limited all have the DCT like prior years.

    Hi, i have a 2023 Tuscon SEL AWD with the convenience package and looking at a 2024 Santa Cruz SEL AWD, i don't see that button near the shifter console that disables the start/stop nonsense when the engines shuts off at a complete stop, i don't see a button to disable it.

      @zxtenn ปีที่แล้ว

      I just took a look at it, 1500.00 disc. and another 500.00 for the finance so 2 grand total. i didn't see a button to disable the start/stop, do you know if its somewhere else or i can ask sales tomorrow, that start/stop function is NONSENSE and unnecessary.

    I wish they changed the lights. The driver side dark spot is really bothersome. Also, for 42k you would think they would come with a tow package, c-port style charger and a rear passenger center arm rest.

      The SEL AWD is a good deal at 33 grand but for 42 buy a TRD Tacoma, MUCH more of a truck with limited slip, etc. and naturally a bigger bed.

      @@zxtenn You will gain capability but lose comfort and features.

    • @zxtenn
      @zxtenn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsMadeSimple Yes, i looked at it yesterday, it's a cool little vehicle and in my opinion the SEL AWD is a good deal for about $31,500 but going to the Limited i would buy a Ridgeline or Tacoma for the same price or a few $$$ more as the bed is much more useful and the Tacoma has a 2 speed transfer case and limited slip. Regarding the button to disable the stop/start 'feature' i don't like that it's not on the Santa Cruz, i ALWAYS turn mine off. I don't like the idea of a starter being used so many more times than just to start and how much gas is being saved anyway? Maybe years down the road a new starter is necessary and we know the cost of those, between the cost of the starter, crazy labor and depending on where its located that's lots of $$$$$$$. I do agree with you that my Tuscon with the convenience package and nice seats would be more comfortable not to mention the 'smart' cruise, i do enjoy that on my drives to WV from NC.

    Those turn signal cameras need to be as wide as possible, using a circle shape because of the cluster design is a fail. Safety needs to come first, the driver needs to see as much as the camera can display which is a rectangle. I hope hyundai is listening and will change it.
    Otherwise nice walk through.

    Santa Cruz is not for people who wants a truck size bed, they should look at Ridgeline,Tacoma or Maverick instead. We like it because we are fully retired and no adult children to haul around but like to do some gardening hence the small bed. I changed( myself) the low light output of halogen bulbs to LED in less than 1 hr. For extra $20 cost to Hyundai, they could have done that all across the board to either the 30 years old Xenon which I like or the modern LEDs

      Ditto, the 2.5 naturally aspirated is garbage. I'm fine with less power, but for that power level I'd want much better fuel economy. The same horsepower hybrid base engine from Ford on the Maverick does 40mpg.

    Yeah this POS is "limited" all right! The typically cheap made Hyundai Santa Cruz is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive drops city and highway figures by 1 mpg. The turbocharged version has estimates of 19 mpg city and 27 highway. Compared to the 2024 Ford Maveric with 40 mpg city/33 mpg highway. Even worst the more versatile Ford Ranger gets 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The best in breed 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid gets 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway! The much more versatile full sized RAM 1500 gets 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway! The way bigger GMC Sierra 1500 gets 24 mpg city/29 mpg highway. And both the RAM and Sierra are real trucks! Why in God’s name would anyone buy one of these cheap Hyundai lemons? Must be because of the great record Hyundai has in building engines 🤣🤣
